I'm in the heights and have excellent views of Manhattan from my rooftop deck. The cover charge is $50.00 per person.

As long as you?re going for grand views, I suggest dusk at full moon. From the Grundy Pier you can get ?Moonrise Manhattan? a la Ansel Adams with your iphone. Better still, you can find the moon above Liberty?s torch at the southern end of the waterfront walkway near Flag Plaza in Liberty State Park. This one requires a zoom to make it work. Tonight is full moon but it?s cloudy so you?ll have to wait at least another month. You?ll be amazed when you hit it right.

To the OP: you registered on this site almost 4 years ago so I'm going to assume you've lived here at least that long.
4 years here and you can't answer your own question?

Get off PATH at Newport/Pavonia and walk North along the Waterfront Walkway to Hoboken. If they want to go back to the City they can get back on the PATH in Hoboken.
Short, sweet and BREATHTAKING. On a clear night the walk is the best city view in the United States. Your friends will never forget. Fireworks? sometimes but unplannable, often in Central Park...sometimes accross the Hudson.

If you walk along the Exchange Place walkway, make sure to walk to the end of the Hyatt or J. Owen Grundy piers - great views from the end of the piers.

Yes I second LSP?..
Please take them to Liberty State Park. Start at the Old Rail Road Terminal and walk along the walkway to the other end of the Park. You will get a great view of NYC and you will also be a stone throws away from Ellis Island and the Lady. Have Fun. PS- the light rail has a stop near LSP, maybe the DTJC peps can give you help with that. I can't.

I would go by liberty state park. Beautiful walkways along the water but it's a little far from the path stations.
Agree with the above poster, exchange place walkway is probably your best bet.

A walk along the Exchange Place waterfront should work.

Hi everyone,
I have some friends visiting soon and want to show them some nice places in the area. Can anyone recommend a nice view of NYC easily assessible by the PATH train? On a similar note- are there gonna be any firework shows visible from the JC side of the Hudson tomorrow? Thanks for all the help and Happy new year.
