If you are looking for an incompetent prick, try G and G design center in North Bergen. Well, I shouldn't be so harsh. If you like the style of Bea Arthur's house on Golden Girls, this incompetent prick is your man.

Jim Jamal on Newark avenue between the courthouse and Five Corners. 201-659-3676

I've seen reupholstery and repair work he's done for other people and he made some gorgeous custom curtains for me.

You can also try Osorio's Upholstery - an_osorio@hotmail.com. Send him pictures and he can give you an estimate.

Im looking to get my recliner fluffed up and recovered to match my decor. Does anyone know where I can get this done for a reasonable price? Can you share with me some personal experiences? Please let me know. Thanks.

My boyfriend is an upholsterer - he does furniture, boats, cars, etc. Feel free to email him at an_osorio@hotmail.com. He works for himself, so his prices are very reasonable.

I can highly recommend Rackley Custom Upholstery @511 Communipaw ave. 201 451-0897. Not the greatest of neighborhoods but his work is of high quality with reasonable prices. I?ve used him a number of times to re-cover some antique chairs and a settee.

I have an old easy chair that's in tatters -- springs are poking through the bottom, and the upholstery is pretty well shredded. Does anyone know of a person or place that repairs upholstered furniture?

Thanks!
