I've heard the racket that door makes when it opens and closes. Personally, if I lived near that garage, I might have disconnected it myself.

Sounds to me like the case has been made to simply take your parking business elsewhere such as the mall which was mentioned.

+1 unhappy customer - & it's not really credible that the restaurant is going to suddenly find other parking in this area.

Just seems like pure greed - making your rent paying customers insecure, and perhaps unable to find a spot just for a little extra cash-grab.

go into the mall offices - they're at the far east end on the 2nd floor before you walk across the overhang into the office towers

Do you have info for the mall parking lot? Many thanks.

Last time I looked into it they charged $100/month for Hamilton Park residents. I need to check into it again.

Or the construction they did that left us with half a lot and a pile of rubble... oh and the very poorly and narrow painted lines to park in so you end up with dings all over your car. And the light on the roof that hasn't worked in months.

Thinking about moving car to the mall.... it's cheaper too.

Don't forget the permits that didn't stick, which then fell down, leading to tow notices on vehicles.

I had a boat load of dysfunctional issues with that parkade. Couldn't find parking during snowy days, key fob didn't work and never heard back from them for solution, trouble finding parking during their construction....it's like this parkade is their ugly stepsister they neglect.

We want to know how long this is going to go on so we can decide whether or not to pull our business and give our money to another garage. This is a huge issue. All of a sudden we've gone from a secure garage, accessible only by key fob, to... door wide open. NOT OKAY.

Not yet, I feel like I'm always complaining to them (broken door, lights always out, now this...) If they're doing this for the restaurant, why the need to leave it open 24/7? I'll send them an email this week but I feel like the complaints never do anything....

Yes. We've been very angry about this. I complained to Silverman in late February about this, and they said it was a temporary thing while the restaurant secured other parking. Have you contacted Silverman?

Is anyone else that parks at the lot on 9th and Erie bothered by the fact that they now do not close the garage doors? For $165/month I'd expect some security....
