Did you notice the paint job on that? Half was a turquoise color... this was a jet of the type used for international flight w/ 4 turbines. Could not see any commercial logo -- He practically strafed the Island.
Came back 3 times.

I could see it pretty clearly making a hard left bank over the nabe. Definitely an Air Force One paint job.

Why in the world would the military run tests above such a densely-populated city like JC, and so close to NYC?, my neighbor asked. I don't buy it either. Oh, and there are a whole lot more sirens than usual. Waiting for official reports.
Lots of folks on Grove St just looking up with mouths agape. Still no official reports. We need info here.

My Exchange Place based company has just anounced that the aircraft flyover was a "military exercise, no cause for alarm".
Can't find anything about it online. Robin.

Damn planes woke me up and shook my building!
A neighbor just told me that he saw a large plane being chased by a figher jet. He (and several others according to JCPD and 911 operators) have called and reported the same thing and were told that "the military is running tests" and wouldn't provide any more info. Well, I hope the finish running these tests soon. I need my beauty sleep! Quote:

The plane flew over my office in NYC twice. It is circling and a fighter jet is following it. It is NOT a normal flight pattern. I am not sure why there is no news on it.

Why is there a new flight path today - low commercial planes heading towards Newark Airport EWR - pretty loud at 10am.
Right over Downtown Jersey City.
