I hate to have to break it to you, but there's more to both JC and Grand St than Downtown. That section is up by Arlington Park. The plan as described sounds very much like the changes to Observer Highway in Hoboken east of Marin. Wasn't the end of the world, but I think there's more traffic on Grand.

Gezz... No problem, did not mean to make you answer my simple question about the photo location with such a whiny smug response.

And thanks for the geography lesson, it is nice to know there is life beyond the pale of the turnpike extension.

It's also clear you don't know what "beyond the pale" means.

What do you presume it to mean?

Actually, TBG's usage of "beyond the pale" is quite appropriate, The Pale was literally the stake marking the boundary of civilized lands. Bravo!

I think Brewster may be one of few who knows history.

LOL... Thanks for explaining the cover to state the obvious... now let me add arrogant and presumptuous.

Nothing whiny or smug about it, you asked a question that made it clear your concept of JC ended at the Tpk, that you'd never gone beyond, like "there be dragons". Don't take it out on me.

It's like the classic New Yorker cover, except the Tpk is a stand-in for the Hudson.

Looks like they picked alternative 1: https://www.jerseycitynj.gov/UserFiles ... 0Street%20Alternatives%20(002).pdf

Not mentioned in the article but there is planned to be additional pedestrian lights near JCMC, and pedestrian-crossing sidewalk extensions all down Grand St.

Thank god we?re getting funding from the state. Because parking is being eliminated, Yvonne and the NA would ordinarily never allow it to move forward, but if the money is already there, less chance they could stop it.
