The food at Latham House is good but i always hate where i had to sit in the middle of the room near the front door. Felt like an odd location.

Anyhow, Park and Sixth always offered nice comfort food. Will miss them for sure.

That's a shame I always enjoyed the place at the original location. Service was fine for what it was. That odd bar where he moved was a mistake I think. Never been to Latham House but that's gotta be tough in that strange location. Running a small business in Jersey City is tough.

I don't think it was the food as much as the service and the owner. I have heard from a lot of people that they were "creeped out " by him. Also heard that he was calling local business owners and soliciting them to buy P&6. I think there was some substance abuse going on there.... shame. He did great in Jc when it was the only show in town. But I guess just couldn't keep up with all the other great paces opening up there. like cellar 335 that are being run by experienced hospitality people.

Pretty shitty of you to come on to a public board as a newbie and air someone's alleged substance issue (if it even exists). Have some compassion and discretion.

Who are you that you first accuse someone of suspected substance abuse and then advertise for Cellar 335? Come on now.

It doesn?t matter how good your food is (and I generally loved theirs), if the staff sucks, there are more than enough places to eat around here.

yeah we gave it two tries. just-okay food and absolutely dreadful service. too many great places in JC to keep throwing money at one that doesn't seem all that into providing great food or even a halfway decent experience.

Yeah, sure... The truth is that the food at Park & Sixth (in the new location) was definitely hit or miss. During our last visit, an order for a medium burger and the ahi tuna burger resulted in both coming out well done. The best part of the meal was the fries. The ambiance was dreadful, and the service so so. The place never seemed packed enough to make it long term.

I would say ?JC was not willing to pay for his food? is a fairly inaccurate reason for why they closed. Having been a regular at their Dullboy location, I stopped going nearly 2 years ago as the service was consistently horrific. Def enjoyed the first location between Bay and First and the location across from City Hall.

Great sammy's and wings; very underrated breakfast sammy's.

Really liked the what they did with the back room bar and space overall...just feels like it was stuck between bar with food and restaurant... and neither the bar or restaurant was ever really packed...

Heard rumors he just wanted out...so wonder if biz was not doing well or just had enough
