They made the site smartphone/tablet friendly. Navigation looks quite good on a smartphone.

huh... where are seeing that ? I didn't see a single page with the mayor and I went through quite a few.

My main problem is the UI. That jagged bold font with with white on black and blank makes it very hard to read. Add to the that the layout, the navigation structure. Just a disaster.

Fulop's own website is so much better. Don't know why they didn't go with the same designer.

Rarely do you get to see so many resources spent feeding one man's inflated ego. This website confirms that Steve Fulop is not about Jersey City, but rather he feels Jersey City exists to provide for Steve Fulop. And the sheep eat it up. Amazing.

At the top of every page is a tribute to him. It's like an online resume.

The City should overhaul how the city council agenda's look. They're cumbersome to follow and not very user-friendly. It's almost a shame to have to utilize a new website with such dated formats for the agenda. You can't even do a quick word find on the agenda online because they're scanned copies. It's very annoying. Almost intentional....

As an IT guy and JC resident?I feel there are too many pictures big and small. I guess they want to ?showoff? JC to people who are thinking about moving here but if you live here you already know everything that is going on in the pictures. (that?s right..we know we bad) I really just want to get to the good stuff that I need to function with in JC. Tax lookup/payment, who to call for a dead cat in the road or bulk garbage pickup, etc. When I click on PARKING I sort of don?t need to see the three pictures at the top of the page. I know that a parking meter is related to parking. Or the lovely tax women when I click on TAXES. (lol) It is light years ahead of the old site but maybe it is now just a little overkill. I will still give it a thumbs up.

PS ? I love how the below easter-egg pops up when you hover over a certain person?s picture. (hmm I wonder if SM was a programmer on the new website) Click and see if you can find it.

Don?t forget to VOTE in the December 5th, 2017 run-off

UI is just terrible on so many levels. Everything from the color scheme to the choice of fonts, spacing between the font elements, navigation structure.

Not sure what they're trying to attract, raggae band listening hipsters?

Fascinating. If you go to your tax page, there's a "cart" to pay, but no way to put anything in the cart. If you want to sign up for autopay, you print out a PDF and mail it in. Great job!!!

agenda for today's city council meeting ...I stumbled across it here:
http://cityofjerseycity.com/cms/One.a ... d=6189744&pageId=10776947

However, the meeting agenda has not been posted/link activated for the last few meetings.

wow, there is a new city website up. on positive side, there are more transactions that can be performed online such as obtaining a residential parking permit.

I went on to look at the agenda for today's city council meeting ... and cannot locate it. I also cannot locate other boards and commissions meetings.

the website either went backwards or is incomplete.

while, I have not been following the city as closely as in the past, our new website was developed by a Canadian company CivicLive, here is a list of their projects - http://www.civiclive.com/featured_projects

take a look, what do others think? - http://cityofjerseycity.com/
