Re: Symes / Solomon runoff

Solomon?s first email after the election called attention to this negative poll, before any voters actually received the poll. You can?t honestly tell me it?s okay to ?assume? who?s funding a labor union PAC (surprise, it?s a union) and not assume that James Solomon pulled a Donald Trump on us by lying about the poll, cried victim, to distract the public from the fact that HE was funding a poll (like the negative one) himself.

So we have to ?assume? it?s developers that are behind this PAC? Since we don?t know....it?s one of the laziest assumptions someone with any reasoning could make.

The City should overhaul how the city council agenda's look. They're cumbersome to follow and not very user-friendly. It's almost a shame to have to utilize a new website with such dated formats for the agenda. You can't even do a quick word find on the agenda online because they're scanned copies. It's very annoying. Almost intentional....

Thanks for the fresh dump of opposition research, James. The work of your firm should be probably referenced. I guess when you buy someone else's work, you don't have cite it? Seems antithetical to your "academic prowess".

If the best use of Solomon's money is to copy and paste someone else's work into JCList, I'm really concerned James Solomon has ZERO regard for money. The fact James Solomon pays $10k for opposition research like he's a Clinton, funds dirty misleading polls, and then uses a troll den to get this message out there shows that Jimmy is one of those entitled rich kids with no concept or respect for the value of money.

This is what happens when everything gets handed you in life - you lose the concept of hard work. James Solomon wouldn't know a real days work if it came up and hit him.

If I were one of his donors and saw that he spent $160k for a 2nd place finish, I wouldn't bother giving him another dime.

Hypocrite Solomon’s dirty push Poll
#5

Just to think we might've had a genial run-off. Here?s another example of Solomon?s hypocrisy, and this is just low. Even for him.

As a self-proclaimed academic, I certainly expected better than this trash from James Solomon.

I got called tonight to answer a poll, (even though Solomon said the big bad developers are funding polls against him). How do I know it's him? 3 questions stuck out for me, and judging by the way the questions were framed, it couldn't be more obvious this was an anti-Symes poll. I think it?s telling about how nasty of a campaign James Solomon intends to run.

1. Would you likely vote for a candidate willing to evict trump/Kushnir?

2. do you want someone who lives in Hoboken but is running for office in Jersey City?

3. Would you elect someone that will serve as a check and balance against Mayor Fulop, or someone who will push his agenda?

To simply use a poll (that I'm sure cost a lot of money) to spread a negative and nasty rumor that Rebecca lives in Hoboken is simply disgusting and just a waste of time and money? Then he wants to test out if his BS Kushnir movement really means anything (hint: it doesn't), and then finally - he wants to know if he should run towards Steven Fulop or not.

Is James Solomon that rich that he has the means to waste money on a poll and push this negative shit again?

James finished second to Rebecca....so he thinks the only to win this runoff is to go hard negative? There were other questions, but obviously spoiled brat James is testing out the garbage he?s posted about on this forum.

I really hope he cleans up his act quickly.

BTW, just curious ... has anyone among the pro and contra Solomon surrogates ever wondered what work he will be doing in addition to his work on council (once elected)? Steve had a lucrative job on Wall Street and Candice held corporate jobs outside of JC. But in all seriousness, what will James do for a living? Do we think (in all seriousness) that he can live of $35k plus health insurance PLUS the $10k he gets for being a "part time professor" and pension as a council person?

The 1% doesn't do too well with such a pittance in salary....

It would certainly be a nice change in lifestyle for someone who should be earning in the $200k range (in a down year) as a corporate inhouse counsel for a real estate firm.

Sounds like an outright lie from James Solomon's campaign. Rebecca never owned a home in Hoboken. A simple property search would reveal that.

Did She live there? But she paid rent out of her own pocket. Something that spoiled smug brat Solomon wouldn't know anything about.

I wonder how much money his mommy and daddy are going to kick in for the run-off?

It?s very simple, Dan. On an FEC filing he listed the City of Boston as an employer. If you simply google James Solomon?s time he purports to have spent working for Mayor Menino, you?ll find he did his graduate work (not actually employed!) in boston....and that work was published in 2013, before he discovered his desire to run for office in a Jersey City.

So Solomon either lied on a federal election law disclosure OR he misled the City of Boston by living in Jersey City and ?working? in Boston. Which is it?

Nothing I?ve described is fake in the slightest. You can corraborate what I?ve said and you?ll find he?s been more than cheeky about his actual work experience and his time in JC.

A Hypocrite at his finest.

James Solomon purchased a brownstone in Jersey City when he moved to Hudson County in 2015 and had no job prospects. He first applied for a job in City Hall and spent 6 hours courting Muhamed Akil for said job. Yes, the same Muhammed Akil at the center of Jersey City?s latest bid rig scandal.

Solomon pays next to nothing in property taxes for what is now likely to be a $1M+ home.

http://tax1.co.monmouth.nj.us/cgi-bin ... 01=5&h02=&i24=2&ccdd=0906

It is hard to say when Solomon actually starting generating any income because he?s so independently wealthy that he too made several thousand dollars worth of contributions to Hillary Clinton and Democrats running all around the US.

https://www.fec.gov/data/receipts/indi ... 2016&contributor_state=NJ

He even disclosed still working for the City of Boston as of October 2016, when he purportedly lived in Jersey City?

What is clear is that James Solomon declared his Ward E candidacy exactly 2 years after he moved to Jersey City.

January of 2017 was a very busy month for Solomon. With limited to no real income, he found his calling as an activist, shaming people that live Trump?s 2 buildings, and the Oakman. Little did these folks know that like them, Solomon lives in a million dollar home, and pays less in property taxes than what?s collecting through the PILOTs of downtowns abated properties.

Instead of getting involved with neighborhood associations, civic organizations, or nonprofits, he chose the most politically opportune thing to do to launch his political career.

Nothing but facts.

However well meaning Solomon may be, it is VERY difficult to view Solomon?s presence in Jersey City as anything but a cynical and calculated play for power, one backed financially by big, wealthy, outside money and yes, including the interests of real estate.

That's cute. I'd look up the same thing re: Solomon, but he doesn't have a real job to look up other than being a part-time politics 101 professor.

So in other words, he never actually worked in Newark, like he said he did. He was a fellow, paid for by external money (probably friends of his from one of these wealthy liberal think tanks that have poured wheel-barrels of cash into his campaign) to conduct services for the City of Newark.

I once sat in on a meeting with my boss as we discussed a new product launch....he asked him to grab his coffee for him. When I run for office, I'm going to tell people I invented the FitBit, since apparently that's how political logic works for James Solomon.

I literally just tried calling Dixon, and using the directory to spell her name. You're an idiot and I'm even bigger idiot for thinking a troll might've alluded to something factual. But since we're on the topic of sincerity and motive - James Solomon is using Ward E council to run for Mayor and patently misleading the public with his "holier than thou" perception.

SOLOMON'S ELEC report is riddled with contributions from liberal think tanks, big money interests from outside of NJ and wait for it.....REAL ESTATE MONEY! What do you know, Solomon has taken contributions from the RE industry in NYC. So please, tell me how this fuckin' phony is the 2nd coming of Christ?

Can we get back to the point at hand? I'm curious what was Solomon's actual role in Mayor Booker's office and Mayor Menino's office? He shows up in no public databases as an employee, and this would be a huge fabrication of his actual work experience. I see he did some research for the Mayor of Boston while at Harvard, but was that an actual job? Or a graduate research project?

While he has a noble profession in education, I know his wages aren't all that great - so how does he make over $12000 in contributions to the DNC, Hillary Clinton, and all these other Democrats outside of NJ?

If he's misrepresenting his resume, and hoping no one checks him on it, I certainly hope the public that's behind is wiling to hold him accountable.

Show me actual proof of a developer giving her money? It?s really unfair that she?s chastised for working in the private sector or the real estate industry. Would you hold someone?s career in finance (Fulop) against them? Or would you hold Hudnut?s career as a public defender representing people accused of crimes?
They at least have careers...

Solomon also took a contribution from someone who worked for Bain & Co. Not really progressive to be taking money from a firm with controversial conservative business dealings. But that?s just the Solomon way - do as I say, not as I do. Reminds me a lot of a young councilman from Ward E who burnished many of the same credentials. Whatever happened to that guy?
