Look at the first post in this thread and ask yourself this question -
Who cannot spell Kushner and knows what a push poll is?
The same person who cannot spell Solomon and knows what opo research is.

I had to google both terms.

You mean like this?

"Seen as a mastermind of street campaigning, Bertoli is known to have a hatful of tricks that he has used in campaigns dating back to when he dared to take on Mayor Nicholas Sacco in North Bergen in the early 1990s. Bertoli is known for digging up old facts and using them for best results."

http://hudsonreporter.com/view/full_s ... ns_lead_story_left_column

Or this?

"Political consultant Tom Bertoli, a senior advisor to Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop testified in a deposition last January. He described Plaintiff Lane Bajardi as a senior advisor like himself, and conversations with Beth Mason and Mr. Bajardi about suing bloggers during her spring 2009 mayoral race. No Defendants had websites but Hoboken ?bloggers? in general were considered a problem and Bertoli outlined the discussions to file ?frivolous lawsuits? and draining defendants who were getting in Mason?s way for higher office"

https://www.scribd.com/document/291340 ... ior-Court-August-4th-2014

Or this?

"According to a January 9, 2014 deposition in the Bajardi v Pincus civil litigation, decades long Hudson County political operative Tom Bertoli describes how the use of "frivolous lawsuits" was broached against the escalating impact of Hoboken residents commenting online, re: bloggers."

http://www.hobokenhorse.com/2015/03/b ... mer-senior-political.html

The fact that someone of Tom Bertoli's stature took the time to try and discredit what I am saying only adds weight to my words.

Watch this space.

MrRogers is a paid political operative who lives far from Jersey City. He does not visit JCList to provide or seek neighborly advice or weigh in on the latest pizza shop, as a perusal of his posting history demonstrates. His participation in this thread is by far the most cynical aspect of this entire conversation.

Separately - how do the expressions "Not for Sale James Solomon" and and "Unbought Unbossed James Solomon" necessarily demean Rebecca? It is possible to say those things and merely be pointing out positive attributes about yourself rather than it being an attack on someone else.

Rebecca lives downtown two blocks from me, she doesn't live
in Hoboken so stop pushing this lie.

Well I have been bullied and called stupid online by Solomon
supporters and I saw someone else in my neighborhood be
bullied by one of them on the Nextdoor app last weekend.
Also I directly commented on a residential issue I have a concern
about and I got ignored by Solomon himself.

Also I saw the following signs posted on a resident fence this morning
"Not for Sale James Solomon" and and "Unbought Unbossed James Solomon"
so that proves to me he is either behind, or supports, the
vicious and untrue campaign attacks on his opponent. Or at
the least it has inspired at least some of his supporters to spread lies
and bully people which he is not getting up and out to stay stop to.

That does not impress me, and that does not represent me, and
I will not be voting for him. I expect candidates to present their
qualifications not tear each other down and I want someone who
will respond to me and listen to me when I have an issue, concern,
etc I want to discuss.

That is my opinion, go talk to the candidates and make your own
personal choice.

The other side is smart enough to know you bury opposition research in your polling firm, or call it "social media" or whatever... You don't actually expect anyone to believe Symes hasn't done opposition research on Solomon. Probably being done by an IE, right?

Fred Rogers has a point. What is that $9K charge to a law firm for?

That's because jcvoter IS james Soloman and he is leaking out his opo research he paid for.
Yet if you look at his elect you will not see any paid opo company. You will see a close to ten thousand dollars paid to a NY law firm.
Why would a Jc council candidate need to pay a NY law firm that kind of money unless he was using them to hide paying for the
Opo. Kind of the same way the DNC paid a law firm to dig up the dirt on Bernie.
Soloman is phony reformer who will be running for Mayor on day one.

It's difficult to get a real feel for the dynamic of this race. Is this a NIMBY (Solomon) vs pro-development (Symes) race? Are both generally pro-development with different nuances?

I'm ridiculously pro-developement but feel like we should be leveraging more concessions from the developers. Maybe something like an infrastructure bank that all new developments would be required to pay into. The waterfront doesn't need abatements but I think they could still be useful for the western fringes of Downtown.

I've heard the term "smart development" used by both campaigns but I don't know if that's a NIMBY code word for "no new buildings, EVER!".

Symes was president of the Harsimus Cove Neighrbood Association a year ago (at the same time she was chief counsul for Dixon Leasing).

Who are the neighborhood associations lining up behind? I would assume Solomon. Does anybody know? That goes a long way in determining my vote.

333 River Street is a rental building not a condominium. Give it a google. It's on the world wide web.

While your at it  google the slogan  Unbought and Unbossed. The title of Ms Shirley Chisholms book and her catch phrase.

I'm sure Ms. Chisholm would not mind Mr. Solomon hijacking her slogan and title of her book. They have alot in common..expect Ms. Chisholm was not a rich kid from the suburbs who fudged her resume, expoited  her cancer and never held a full time job.

Solomon should change his slogan to

Unscrupuious and Unemployed!

She lives in Harsimus Cove. Never owned a condo in Hoboken. This is a diversion.

James Solomon Unbought and Unbossed. That slogan was stolen from gender and civil rights icon Shirley Chisholm, the first woman of color in congress.

Solomons claims it's a homage . Another word is plagarism. Homage credits the source.

From exploiting his cancer, fudging his resume, stealing slogans to push polling.Solomon is not the real deal.

Just to think we might've had a genial run-off. Here?s another example of Solomon?s hypocrisy, and this is just low. Even for him.

As a self-proclaimed academic, I certainly expected better than this trash from James Solomon.

I got called tonight to answer a poll, (even though Solomon said the big bad developers are funding polls against him). How do I know it's him? 3 questions stuck out for me, and judging by the way the questions were framed, it couldn't be more obvious this was an anti-Symes poll. I think it?s telling about how nasty of a campaign James Solomon intends to run.

1. Would you likely vote for a candidate willing to evict trump/Kushnir?

2. do you want someone who lives in Hoboken but is running for office in Jersey City?

3. Would you elect someone that will serve as a check and balance against Mayor Fulop, or someone who will push his agenda?

To simply use a poll (that I'm sure cost a lot of money) to spread a negative and nasty rumor that Rebecca lives in Hoboken is simply disgusting and just a waste of time and money? Then he wants to test out if his BS Kushnir movement really means anything (hint: it doesn't), and then finally - he wants to know if he should run towards Steven Fulop or not.

Is James Solomon that rich that he has the means to waste money on a poll and push this negative shit again?

James finished second to Rebecca....so he thinks the only to win this runoff is to go hard negative? There were other questions, but obviously spoiled brat James is testing out the garbage he?s posted about on this forum.

I really hope he cleans up his act quickly.
