Great pictures. Judging from them, it was an impressive turnout.

Can we safely assume that traffic on Newark by the courthouse was gridlocked, patients couldn't get to their doctors and people may have died because ambulances couldn't get to JCMC??

I've never understood why local businesses feel they have to pay a fee to move their products out from their storefronts and under tents and piled on tables on Newark Avenue for a day. Crazy! I don't believe these things increase sales other than that one day.

All about Downtown means that they should showcase the businesses downtown. There should be booths for downtown businesses to showcase what they sell. They should give away samples, or sell sample sizes at a reasonable price. Give away coupons, menus, business cards. This is not the place to make a profit. Use your marketing budget for this.

Sell me a sample size of pizza and I may buy it. If all you sell is regular size, I may not buy it because it would fill me up and then I cannot try anything else.

Of course not, many of the downtown restaurant owners greased the wheels of Jersey politics enough to make food trucks unsustainable.

Pretty sure if your traveling restaurant on wheels fails because of one location not allowing them to park it means your business wasn't sustainable to begin with. Maybe that's why they can't tough it out in a brick and mortar location?

Korilla is absolutely awful. It follows the menu model of "pick way too many things that you haven't tasted to throw into this bowl and hope it tastes alright" sure I'll have a bowl of quinoa, bulgogi pork, kim chee, spinach, uhh pickled whatever that is, and oh I have to pick two more vegetables? ok that pea salad thing and that thing over there and sure put that sauce on it.

There will be about 10 food trucks serving up unique plates, like Nuchas (from New York) with their sweet and savory empanadas, Korilla's Korean food (from Manhattan) with a Mexican twist, and unique varieties of kettle corn from Brooklyn Popcorn (from Brooklyn).

LOL is this a joke? WTF are there no food trucks based out of the city we live in? This should be called All about Manhattan and Brooklyn the place you all wished you lived.

The pony rides were not from the all about downtown street fair. It was a different event that took place in October.

Seems a bit like selective editing on your part for the sake of cynicism. Does JC even have more than 7 food trucks that could fill out the rest of the 10 spots?

You omitted, "Other vendors who will set up shop during the street fair include WORD bookstore, RAVAL, Morlees, Helen's Pizza, Park and Sixth, Another Man's Treasure Vintage Store, The Lucky Honeybee Candles and Apothecary, Buttercup Jewelry and Soap for Sinners. "

The goal of the street fair is to build a sense of community and also serves as a pretty fertile proof of concept testing ground and a venue to raise awareness for folks who haven't yet secured a brick and mortar location.

While the JC Eats festival also featured several vendors from Manhattan and Brooklyn, we also saw the debut of Archer Bar who are moving into the Ox/Box/Box Spring space, JC Wingery getting a bunch more foot traffic than they likely do at the Hamilton Park farmers market, etc.

"The idea is for people to know the businesses in Downtown and shop local,"

There will be about 10 food trucks serving up unique plates, like Nuchas (from New York) with their sweet and savory empanadas, Korilla's Korean food (from Manhattan) with a Mexican twist, and unique varieties of kettle corn from Brooklyn Popcorn (from Brooklyn).

Jersey City's 5th annual All About Downtown festival returns next month
