Should be treated as if they had real guns, these teens are idiots and should be treated as such. Hope they get harsh treatment and learn a lesson for life.

IMHO a 16 or 17 year old is a "young man" and should be treated as such. All of a sudden on his 18th birthday someone is a mature adult? I'm not talking about the law which I understand may have to draw definitive lines. All three of my godsons were very mature at 17 and solid citizens at this age as they should have been. They were not perfect and a little wild as I would expect a young man to possibly act. But none of them was stupid or morally corrupt enough to point a gun (real or fake) at anyone. At 17 a young man should have a real understanding that this behavior is very very wrong. This is punk behavior and I hope the young men find themselves into the military or another disciplined program where they may turn their lives around.

I'm trying to figure out why the journalist chose the term "boys" rather than the less harmless sounding "teens", or "youths" or even "male minors".

For the record it bothered the crap out of me that John Krakauer called his 23 year old subject in "Into the wild" a "boy", it relieved him of being responsible in any way.

The victim identified the three boys and the robbers, the report says.

The boys were taken to the police Juvenile Bureau on Cator Avenue where a search revealed the 17-year-old had the cap gun in his pocket, the report says.

The boys were booked and remanded to the Hudson County Youth House in Secaucus, the report says.

So, what happened? Armed robbery at 9th and Coles?

Listening to CB radio and there was a robbery by 3 men. Caught one of them at the gazebo in Hamilton Park. Looking for the other guys. Still trying to get further details.

Does anyone know what's going on out there? People came running up the street yelling about something. Tons of cops. And they told my husband to stay inside.
