Jersey City mayor kinda, sorta endorses Buono
by Terrence T. McDonald/The Jersey Journal It seems Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop has climbed off the fence and will vote for state Sen. Barbara Buono in next month?s gubernatorial race. Just don?t expect to hear Fulop say Buono?s name. ?I?m a lifelong Democrat and when I get in the booth, I?m going to vote Democrat and that means the whole Democratic ticket,? Fulop, 36, told The Jersey Journal yesterday. READ MORE

His choice is a guy who will win who screwed his city on the PA toll and PATH increase...or someone who will lose that backed the Healy machine...
It's not politics- it's human- like many of us in this state, we are not fans of Christie or Buono.

As a Republican I do not intend to vote for Christie: 1. The toll increases that were rammed down our throats. 2. Not holding the PA accountable...and using it like everyone else as a patronage mill. 3. I don't believe he really did much when the NYPD decided to go rogue and violate the constitutional rights of an entire community on the Jersey side.

It's a gutless move that is politically expedient for him. You'd think on gay marriage alone he'd support Buono, but he's making the cowards choice.

I can't tell if you're talking about the governor's race or the Senate race! Ha!

Christie is an awful governor, but he has been able to make money for mayors and councilmen, hence Harrison bending the knee. On the flip side Buono is going to lose the race, horribly. So, which loser do you want to associate yourself with?

so Fletcher, what should he do? He doesn't care to endorse either candidate and you say he's playing Hudson County politics. So, by your logic, if he DID endorse someone, he wouldn't be? If he did that, I am certain you would criticize for whatever choice he made. Knowing you're a Newt Gingrich guy both candidates are probably too liberal for you anyways.

Christie or Buono? Democratic Jersey City mayor won't say
by Terrence T. McDonald/The Jersey Journal In less than two months, New Jersey voters will decide whether to give Gov. Chris Christie a second term or deliver the governor?s mansion to state Sen. Barbara Buono. Though most of the state?s top politicos have weighed in by now, Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop is still on the fence about who?s going to get his vote, Fulop told The Jersey Journal. ?I?m going to revisit in October,? he said. ?I see no sense of urgency.?
