Maybe they called it Paris as in moveable feast? No matter, if the sandwiches suck...

We saw the truck at Saturdays festival on Newark Ave. We got a Paris Special. I hated it. Took two bites and threw it away. (and i do like banh mi sandwiches)

It is 9 dollars at Cafe Saigon ("CS"). The Banh Mi comes with a salad. I suggest CS offer a single sandwich (minus salad) at 7 dollars minimum. If you can get one in the 6 to 8 dollar range in FiDi Manhattan, it should not be expensive in JC!

I'm a big fan of banh mi sandwiches and I'll definitely be checking these guys out. I always found it puzzling that there aren't more banh mi options here in downtown considering there's a big enough vietnamese population here to support it. I know Saigon Cafe offers it for lunch, but at $9.50, it's ridiculously expensive.

I've never actually done the banh mi from the chinatown shop since it's right around the corner from Saigon Bakery, which has my favorite. But I'll always go straight from Saigon for my banh mi to Paris because they have excellent iced milk tea. Really hoping they'll have it at the truck too.

The menu that they were handing out had the Chinatown addresses on it. I thought that $6.25 for a sandwich was expensive. Their online menu for Chinatown shows $4.50 for the Grilled Pork Baguette. But if I were in Chinatown, I wouldn't be eating bread. http://www.parissandwiches.com/menu.pdf

Yeah I thought it was a French food truck. Here the United States and Vietnam suffered to gain indepedence against the French and communism yet it calls itself "Paris" sounds like a monitary lure to me.

Interesting name for a banh mi truck. I get the historical reference, but I think it goes over the head of like... 98% of people, if not more.

It was parked in front of Sawadee on Newark in the am. If that means anything, looked like they were getting their daily prep done right there.

These are banh mi sandwiches.
This is the first time I had a Vietnamese sandwich. I had the grilled pork. It tasted great with the pickled daikon, carrots, cilantro and cucumber. There was some chili pepper in it too. The grilled pork reminds me of the grilled pork chop at Nha Trang Place. http://www.parissandwiches.com/
