1 - Witches & dr seuss characters

2 - Shoprite bags & plastic jack-o-lanterns

3 - "thanks" I was disappointed not to get any good, "smell my feet..." lines.

and a new one....
4 - What was the best candy people were giving out?

We gave classic mary janes and smarties to most kids and full size candy bars to the most deserving.

I hadn't heard of Eugene McKnight's criminal history. He stole millions of dollars from taxpayers and should never have been allowed back into government.

Fulop is being too forgiving with these criminals. I guess it's hard to find an untainted Jersey City politician, but we need to demand better.

Coleman, it seems, has accepted the criminal element: "Coleman...did not immediately apologize for ?joking? about the number of Ward F residents with criminal records"

Keep up the pressure. Don't be complacent. Demand better.

You might not be appreciated by everyone here, John, Frank & Company, but as long as you remain truthful, you're doing a good thing.

McGreevey is an obvious sociopath just looking out for himself and a way back into politics. God, religion and helping others is just a ploy to make himself look better. He tried to become a Priest, but they realized he was nothing but a "Jackass" -- Episcopal Diocese of Newark.

Jersey City should not accept him.

McGreevey is a horrible person, a liar and an embarrassment for New Jersey and the Gay community.

He has no place in Jersey City. We don't need him, and we certainly don't need to pay him $110,000 a year for his services.

This is a disgrace and a distraction. MeGreevey, GO AWAY!

anonymous highway rest stop sex? tipping into code for homosexuals as sexual deviants? there is nothing to back this up. stick to facts and away from baiting.

Actually, the anonymous highway rest stop sex info came from McGreevey himself:

"All I knew was that my behavior was getting crazier and crazier," McGreevey says of his torrid truck-stop trysts in an upcoming book that details his tortured life of lies and sexual repression.

There are plenty of places for people to get professional help. Giving to people on the street circumvents the structure they need to get back on their feet and promotes bad habits.

Give to these organizations if you feel bad. Do not give cash on the street.

Urging her to reconsider is not enough. Fulop needs to pass a law making it illegal to hire your family members for any municipal job.

They have plenty of support. There is free food and shelter available to them. Do not give panhandlers money. You only encourage bad habits.

It is always a bad idea to give money to people on the street.

There are plenty of people in Jersey City who would be willing to take on a part time 15k job with benefits.

Children should never be hired by their parents for a government job!

Where is Fulop's response, anyway? The link someone posted just goes to the old article.

This is an absolute disgrace and a horrible start to what should be a new beginning in Jersey City.

Burke's is an iconic Jersey City institution. It's not their fault that their clientele is a mixed bag.

Some of us work until 2am and can only get to the dog park between the hours of 3am and 4am. It's not fair to keep my dog from the enjoyment of the park just because my schedule is different from yours. Wear earplugs, get better windows, or move if it bothers you so much.

Witness in pedestrian death by auto calls for independent investigation

?Although I saw multiple people present, the public statement from the [Jersey City Police Chief Tom Comey] says that the sole eyewitness they interviewed did not give a name or address,?

In response to Harkins? claim that he and other witnesses have not been contacted, Nalbach said, ?We don?t know Joe Harkins from a hole in the wall. I?m sorry that Mr. Harkins feels the way that he does. There are a lot of rumors out there, but they don?t jibe with what we know. We don?t have any other witnesses, other than a man [interviewed at the scene] who did not want to give his name or address.?
