All they inspect is the exhaust systems, so you do not have to worry about failing for tinted windows. Also a trick i have used three times is to drive up with my windows down. They have never checked

hate tinted windows, be proud that you're ugly.

I had my windows tinted when I lived in CT, tried to get my car inspected here and failed. I then heard of some shady vehicle inspectors that you can pay $65 to get your car inspected even if you have issues.

Although I knew it was wrong I attempted that route and got denied by the shady car inspector. He indicated he would never pass a car with tinted windows.

My 2001 accord looks so much better with tints. Oh well.

Just be aware that tints on the front side windows are illegal in NJ, and your car will not pass inspection with them on.

Fine is about $55 or so. Ask me how I know.....
