Really? So all purchases you make do not or have not resulted in any dangerous situations for anyone? Don't get me wrong, I'm not attacking you, as there are enough of those types on this site. Just asking you to reconsider and support a couple local guys that have a decent an unique product in the area.

The Krave truck was over near Club H tonight at the intersection of Marin and Columbus......It really smelled delicious and I actually started to get my money out to buy something.....while waiting I noticed how close they were parked to the fire hydrant then I noticed the huge traffic jam (some of which was being caused by a detour) which they were making much worse.....this was around 7:00....Huge lime green truck impeding traffic sight lines.....kind of makes one wonder how the police would ever let them stay in this location (they were still there 1 and half hours later).....I really want to patronize them but I guess maybe I'm a little weird about these kind of things. I can't reward them with my money for creating what I consider to be a dangerous situation....I'm not trying to be self rightous or judge anyone else that buys their food at this location...to each his own opinion.....as for me, I put my money back in my pocket and walked away.

I am following them on twitter- www.twitter.com/thekrave
Their tacos were DELICIOUS, their kimcheedillas even better! Never had their rice platter, but they posted a pic on their facebook page, and the meat was a little skimpy =(. I think my hubbie and I will stick to our combo of kalbi taco, spicy pork taco, and chicken kimcheedillas = $11! We were stuffed.

I really enjoyed the tacos tonight. I had one of each and I thought the meat had just the write smoky sweetness to it - especially the short ribs. It was my first time having any kim chee but I thought the sauce added a lot

Had 2 tacos last nite, chicken and beef, they were off the hook! I wish they were a little bigger, but the $2.50 price tag is reasonable. Next time i'll just get 4 :).

for what it's worth, my friend got the rice platter and wasn't too happy with it because it wasn't as unique as the other dishes. it's basically rice, the meat you choose, and some kimchi. if that floats your boat, cool deal, but i'd rather be eating the tacos.

They were on Columbus near Marin in front of the new Path Station near Club H. I had their Korean Taco - spicy pork. IT was sooooo good. I should've gotten 2. Next time. If I spot them again I'll definitely try the Rice Platter w/any meat.

MikeyTBC- i 2nd your suggestion about the cabbage for added texture and crunch!

i had one of each taco last night-- i was pleasantly surprised! the marinations were all very good, and i also do wish they gave more of that ground-up-kimchee/sauce. i like how they add a piece of lime to squeeze for each taco. next time i go, i'm going to try their "kimchi quesadilla"

since there aren't many (any??) korean places around, i'm excited about The Krave. plus, after that article came out in the Times about the korean/mexican fusion truck in LA, this has been all the rage-- surprised its in NJ and not in NYC!

Stopped by the Krave truck last night at Marin and CC BLvd.

Had two Galbi tacos, two sesame chicken tacos and a spicy pork taco. They came with a small cup of sauce that tasted like kim che that was put through a food processor with added jalapeno. Sauce had a good flavor and a nice kick. Just wish I had more of it. I'll probably end up making some of my own at home to try with other things.

Only thing I would change or suggest is to top the tacos with some thinly shredded raw cabbage to give the tacos some texture and crunch.

Great addition to the area. Hope they do well.

So pooper scooper, when I walk downtown JC, all the cancer stick addicts are flushed out to the front of the buildings because of the law says so right? But it's okay to smoke them in a food truck?
I'm gonna look into that. Good point about the grilled meat etc so but still it's gross, sorry.

You're too funny. No carcinogens with your grilled meat and toasted breads. I don't even know where to start. May I suggest never, ever entering a restaurant kitchen. Or never reading any of that crazy biology stuff. Ignorance in bliss.

You want a soda with that?

Hasn't anybody here ever been to a Korean restaurant?

The truck is just duplicating that environment.

Of course I'm aware cooks smoke. I just wouldn't expect to walk into a restaurant and see the cook standing over the grill with his cigarette hanging from his lips, while the smoke makes all the would-be fresh food not so fresh.

I'm not a weenie. But that just grossed me out.

If you want to buy food from a truck where the cook is smoking cancer sticks while he is in said truck preparing your food, go ahead. Or even it is someone else in the truck smoking, it's nasty as hell. Are smoking laws not applicable to food trucks? Interesting question.

I saw the truck parked on Christopher Columbus across from Chase a couple of days ago. I was super excited to see Korean BBQ!

And then I walked around to the serving window and someone was actually SMOKING INSIDE THE SERVING AREA. Gross.

I realize that food trucks aren't bastions of cleanliness all the time, but the idea of someone smoking inside the 4x6 space where food is being prepared and served didn't do it for me.

Booooooooo. I'm sad.

Have eaten at the Krave truck twice - like it a lot. Interesting that Jersey City gets the West Coast Korean taco trend before the city. Basically it's traditonal Korean marinated meats served taco style on tortillas...they also have a kimchee quesadilla that shouldn't work but is awesome. You can also get all the meats they serve on rice. Only wish they weould serve some kim chee on the actual tacos to jazz it up slightly.

They change locations - so you have to check their twitter account before you seek them out. Personally , I love having more food options available and welcome them!!

Montgomery and Washington but I don't see the truck out there today, check them out on Twitter, they usually update where they're setting up.

Where on Montgomery is it? Exchange Place? I'm working from home today and might go try it. Either that or Sava on Grove.

that would be krave, I tried it last week and it was good. I prefer the beef and the chicken over the pork.

I love the food carts and want more more more!

Anybody that has been to Portland, Oregon knows that little city is all about food carts!
