I am just trying to start some "market research." I was tossing around the idea of opening a shop downtown. The guys on the corner of Newark and Grove have a handful of pipes...nothing major. A classy head shop this side of the Hudson would be nice... And no better location than down on Grove, IMO...

I don't know how extensive their products are, but there is definitely some smoking materials at the corner bodega on Grove and Newark.

There's a place that sells Hookahs on Bergen between Academy and Vroom st. They have shisha, hookahs, coals, and other accessories. I don't think they carry bongs or pot paraphernalia, but if you're into hookah they carry everything for far cheaper than in the city. $2-3 for shisha as opposed to $10-15 for the same thing in the city.

Does anyone know if Jersey City has/had a real head shop? How much resistance would one potentially get from the local authorities if one were to pop up on Grove?
Thoughts? Thanks!

The store @ grove used to offer quite a bit of paraphernalia, conveniently placed near a very large and truly viscious looking collection of knives they had for sale.
Very convenient one-stop shop for our PCP addled residents. I think they 86'd the knives and went with the pipes- They were well within their rights to sell both that way, but just cause it's legal don't mean it's right.

Not sure, but I think the news stand on the corner of Grove and Newark (next to McDonalds) sells some pipes and stuff.
