LOL, we already have that, here on JClist. It's sort of like an electronic Fight Club. . . .

Healy vs. Cabbies. Melikes.

We should make a bracket of a Jersey City ultimate fight. Maybe inspired by the Great Outdoor Fight of Achewood fame: http://achewood.com/index.php?date=01252006

How would we determine the regions? East Side vs. West Side? Neighborhoods?

And most importantly, who would take on my new favorite Journal Square feature, the screaming JESUS IS THE LIGHT guy?

Hilarious? Yes. Terrifying? Hardly. Hey, our mayor could take on the both of them!

I think you could solve this problem if all the cabdrivers in this town had to attend Charm School.

Kinda funny. They were talking in greek, ( in the background) so i could understand them. This happens in the streets of Athens every second with cabbies.

1stStGuy, the next time i see an honest-to-goodness ultimate fight in journal square (probably tonight, let's be honest), i will do my best to film it and submit it for your approval.

As for the "duking" standards, I feel they are pretty straightforward. Punches thrown, and landed, by both parties. I also fail to see the knee to the crotch. IF said knee was to have landed, I would classify that as fighting, not duking out. Similar, but different. The same was MMA fighting is similar to, but different than boxing.

I believe what you are referring to is around the :58-1:00 mark. That was trying to kick the other person's legs, not a knee to the groin. I will give you credit for posting a video of a legit street fight, even if it did leave a lot to be desired.

I see the hilarious, but I am afraid the terrifying bypassed me and hit the filing cabinet. I'd be more afraid of their driving and lack of using meters.

ok, so you don't generate journalistic or editorial content. but can you provide any insight on the banality of the shore bloggers? the idea is fine, but the authors are crud. some are crud in lipstick, wearing gold lame', covered in glitter... and always in flip-flops. crud i tells you

you should catch one of the bum fights in front of JSQ on video...those are more interesting. a couple of weeks ago i took the PATH to newark and stayed there overnight. i saw a bum fight @ jsq both on the way into newark (sat afternoon) and on the way back (sunday afternoon).

I was talking to one of these guys, and like much of the rest of the economy, their business is waaaaaay down. I guess competition is fierce.
