After suffering a partially collapsed lung last month, Mariska Hargitay is back on the beat and better than ever, according to her Law & Order: SVU co-star Ice-T. "It's like nothing ever happened. She didn't want to be pitied, she wanted to get right back to work," the rapper-actor said. "She's very much like the lady you see on the show--strong!"

Oh jeez. I didn't hear about that lung. Crazy. Guess she won't be visiting JC again anytime soon.

According to Access Hollywood, Mariska Hargitay has been hospitalized with a collapsed lung. A Defamer tipster who works on the set of Hargitay's Law & Order: SVU says there's more to the story.

We noticed yesterday night that the Golden Globe-nominated Hargitay didn't show up to the ceremony, and then this morning, our tipster told us that she'd been hospitalized with a collapsed lung while on vacation. Set scuttlebutt had it that the injury was incurred in a skiing accident where the actress collided with something, and that "her lung collapsed and they inflated it and then it collapsed again."

We checked hours ago with Hargitay's rep, Leslie Sloane Zelnick, who cagily denied there had been a skiing accident but refused to comment on allegations from our tipster that Hargitay was indeed hospitalized. Nice dodge, as TMZ is now reporting it was a sledding accident. According to our source, though, the actress is recuperating at the NYU Medical Center and may need surgery; meanwhile, shooting on SVU is being rearranged this week and cancelled for the next. Still, Zelnick insists to Access Hollywood that "she will appear in all episodes for the rest of the season of Law & Order: SVU."

Interiors for "Law and Order: Special Victms Unit" are shot at a studio on West Side Avenue in North Bergen. Other "L&O" series interiors are filmed in New York.

It was reported that Mariska and her husband recently sold a $5 million apartment in Chelsea. Moving to the Upper East Side so their child will be nearer school and friends.

SUV filmed one evening about 4 years ago in Hamilton Park - it was fun to watch of course. We also enjoyed one of the first Queer Eye shows filmed down the hall from us when we lived in 181 Erie.

Vigalante is very nice as well.

SUV's interiors are shot in Bayonne. Mariska and her husband and child live in NYC. I have worked with both on commercials and a PSA. They are very nice, down to earth people. They have good friends who live in JC as well. Diane Neal lives near Fourth St. She is very nice as well.

SVU films in a warehouse in JC... only during certain times of the year. They have been filiming there for a couple years now, so im sure she stays in the area during the filming season.

I believe her husband actor Peter Hermann lived in JC at one point so that may have been another reason to see her in the area. I ran into him at Basic a couple of times right before they married.

SVU used to shoot at the Hospital right off Hamilton Park. Since the start of the conversion to condos there, I don't think its a viable set anymore.

Does SVU still film here? It has to be at least 8 years since I've seen their trailers in my 'hood.

No, she doesn't. She did, however, use to frequent Marco & Pepe (saw her there about 5 years ago and she is even more stunning in person) and in an interview with the American Airlines in-flight magazine, called it her favorite restaurant in Jersey - all because of the mac & cheese. Apparently, Diane Neal, who played the DA on Law & Order SVU until last season, lives somewhere in downtown JC.

Someone told me Mariska Hargitay lives near 4th & Jersey. I don't believe it. Does anyone know?
