It's a blog about Jersey City, written by someone who once declared on twitter "I am Jersey City". So residents of JC have every right to critique it. Especially on a message board about JC. It may not be nice or productive to make fun of her looks, but that's the way the internet works, so...
The blog does showcase perhaps the worst writing I've ever seen.

A man matching the description in the OP was over on Erie today walking north from Newark and I unfortunately wound up right behind him. I crossed the street and sat down by Torico's until he left, but he was yelling as he walked along Erie and then he stood at First and Erie for a good three or four minutes screaming angrily at imaginary companions about irrational things. This is the first person I can ever recall over here who was remotely violent, which he definitely seemed to have the potential to be. I am a little concerned because I live right there and walk my dogs all alone multiple times a day.

Nah, that's the hardhat guy. He's fine.

To everyone calling for increased enforcement, I don't know what you're talking about. In April of this year, the state gave the JCPD a grant of $27,900 for a pedestrian and traffic safety initiative (aka overtime gift).

"Police officers will ensure that drivers adhere to stop and yield signs, observe traffic signals, and stop for pedestrians in crosswalks," Police Chief Thomas Comey said in a statement.

So yeah, problem's been solved for months.

Of course, first the JCPD, the Sheriff's Office, Port Authority and Parking Authority would need to begin stopping for pedestrains in the cross walk.

Had a great conversation with Al tonight while walking around the feast. Now mind you my previous posts never stated dead junkies OR almost fatal junkies outside or near DOA's. These dudes are just high as a kite - so when other posters embellish my posts I cannot explain their reasoning for twisting and manipulating a story to suit their post. However, while talking to Al outside of the building there it is - some moron so whacked out on drugs he came out and tripped over himself. We enjoyed a good chuckle because it is an every day occurance. I know big shot it never really happened and I gues you will suggest I dreamed up this post too? Get over it and face reality. It's there under your big nose !

Well, you said you walked passed a guy passed out with a needle in his arm, and that he was still there five hours later. An OD is what that would indicate, most likely fatal. I doubt the police ignored a call about that, and that no one else saw this.
So, you don't know anything about heroin, or you don't remember what you posted, or you made this up. Or all three. Are they just drunk and high and you don't like them, or are there bodies lying on the sidewalk with needles in their arms for five or more hours? You watch too much tv.

Ok, Travis Bickle.
Hey, whenever you take a break from embellishing stories and complaining about people who can't complete a sentence in English, you may want to take a grammar course yourself, "big shot".

I live on 7th. There are no dead junkies laying around. Not buying this story. A needle in his arm? I don't think so.

BTW the guys that live on corner of 5th and Brunswick work for Moishe's moving company. Saw a dude out there weeks ago passed out on the sidewalk with the needle still in his arm at about 1 a.m. The place is a hell hole nothing but trash. Screaming at their girlfriends, calling them every name in the book late at night. Low life scumbags but the cops won't show when you call? Go figure? Believe me my wife and I called twice but it is not an "emergency" so that means the calls don't get followed up on. Good old JC at its best.

You called to report a possibly fatal OD victim on a sidewalk and the cops said it wasn't an "emergency"?
I don't believe this story.

While you're on the subject of tunnel vision, it's still not a health issue.

The black stuff is the contents of the intestine and not the intestine itself... There are several reasons for removing the intestine, the most obvious being the aesthetic appearance... In addition, the shrimp's colon and its contents can impart a disagreeable taste and gritty texture to the meat or dish.

What is that grit? Dirt, mostly. If you've ever had occasion to chew on something with even one grain of sand, you know that the grain feels like a pebble in your mouth. Generally speaking, however, you'll find decayed vegetation and decomposing bits of dead animal.

That's a health reason, all right.

Thanks for arguing against yourself.
