MonmouthMan is is totally right on this. Jersey City rents are out of control- if they love their apartment and plan on living here for multiple years they shouldn't leave unless there is a serious payout considering how much rent has and continues to go up. Everyone telling them they are greedy to do otherwise sounds like a typical conservative JC slumlord (which seem to be the only people still using this site). This is all standard for rent controlled properties- anyone can get them- from my experience it's just a matter of settling for an apartment without a ton of improvement repairs and being willing to fix a lot of stuff yourself. People in Manhattan in rent controlled properties get offers in the millions to move out. It is very much a thing when you are sitting on valuable property.

Literally- no one cares. No one even participates on JClist anymore because the same four posters have dumbed it down with so much Fox News rhetoric that it's literally became a useless forum. Kinda like the current state of our government!

Then why don't we talk about the real truth....

Which terrorist political party was responsible for suppressing human rights of slaves freed by Lincoln (R) and future generations, 100+ years, following the Northern Victory. And who celebrated his assassination?

Which party openly supported the KKK, instituted the Jim Crow Laws and enabled the violent attacks and murders of Civil Right Marchers?

Which party today openly leverages the memories of their own atrocities and their violent legacy to maintain political power through fear.

Here is a clue.... it ain't the Republicans.

Pssstt... here's a clue.. no one cares! It's still morally and ethically wrong. Just because you blindly follow and defend your chosen party doesn't mean the rest of us can't use our own brain to tell right from wrong.

LOL I mean seriously what response do you expect to this kind of comment?? "Oh man he got me good- now I guess I have to hate black people since I voted democrat!". No wonder it's so easy to pander to you rubes.

Probably evolving and learning new information as trans people gained more representation. It's called progress. You should try it! What kind of mental gymnastics do you have to do to want to go backwards and keep oppressing the most vulnerable people just because it was once okay? Should we also go back to making being gay shameful and having people like Ellen have to hide their sexuality in order to have a career? You sound nuts and scared of progress.

Look this is not what Obama promised. Perhaps you should ask Arizona residents how they felt when their preminums increase16%.

I think you're confusing it with the all about downtown festival. Project Eats is organized by an individual (originally was the owner of Kanibal Home but I'm not sure if it's still just her) and it's supposed to be a curated food festival. It's never been exclusively JC and you have to be selected to have a spot. Which I appreciate since there seems to be a lot of crap when it's open to anyone willing to pay the vendors fee...

You're OBSESSED with someone who isn't the president anymore. Why do you assume people who don't like Trump would be okay with that same shitty behavior as long as it came from a democrat? Obama wasn't the father in law of the people profiting off these sales. That's the big difference that you willfully ignore.

Any news source that isn't FOX news only appears to have a liberal bias because you've been brainwashed and can no longer think rationally. It's so sad and pathetic.

Silly response. PBS couldn't care less about the people involved in this program unless they were criminally involved, then dogpiles on Kushner. If you don't have a clue, you may rent or buy one to connect the dots. Senator Schumer? LOVED the program in NY, where the gerrymandering was done to include Harlem and Bed Stuy to get stuff built-much, much larger $ than in JC.

No one is disagreeing that it's a messed up and corrupt system. You're just the only buffoon who is hung up on not doing anything about it now. Maybe if your boy Trump didn't screw up everything he touches no one would have even noticed the Kushner's shady business dealings (well except that it's literally run by ex-cons but whatevs!). He only has himself to blame even though he's got chumps like you blaming PBS (...which LOL at that deflection because you sound insane).

With all your attention riveted on the Portland incident, still have not seen you denounce the incident from this morning. Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump did that sooner than you!

The idea that better access to mental healthcare = less crazy people isn't too complex of a concept that I would need it fed to me as a talking point....and I've never actually seen that on a bumper sticker since I don't think that's something people aren't aware of?

LOL and what am I denouncing as someone who doesn't hold office? I'm pro getting these people help so we don't have them running around shooting people. You advocate for someone who wants to make healthcare less accessible and more expensive.

ETA: The Portland shooter flip flopped, didn't vote, and was more anti-Hilary than anything else. But Trump rhetoric is directly responsible for the rise in hate crimes and statistics prove it. That should concern you just as much. Or if anything just give a shit about giving the mentally ill better access to care and less access to guns.

Wow if those two incidents in which no one was actually harmed are so disturbing for you then you must be really upset about the victim in Portland who was killed trying to protect two Muslim girls from that racist lunatic. Right? Weird how our president barely mentioned those attacks but has you foaming at the mouth over a photograph and a play. I wonder why that is...

First, the lunatic out west was, like today's shooter, a Bernie fan. Next, our President didn't 'barely' mention it, he reacted quite strongly. Finally, I'm hardly frothing at the mouth. Other than that you're spot on, as usual!

And he hated Hilary, supported Trump, and clearly expressed alt right anti-Muslim views. You're holding onto the fact that at one point he supported Bernie even though his Facebook clearly shows he ended up ultimately supporting Trump. It took Trump three days to eventually tweet out a comment about it. That's a strong reaction to you? How so?

Hey Monroe- Bernie has already released a sincere and lengthy statement denouncing this guy compared to Trump taking an entire weekend to tweet. Just an FYI. I'm sure you'll ignore this post since it points out all the inaccuracies in the talking points you've been fed. :)

Once again strange response... I have yet to see you denounce the violent attack this morning yet you seem to be concerned only about who expressed condolences first after two violent incidents with no connection. Odd...

oh man I'm sorry you have trouble following :( If you scroll up on this thread you'll see I was responding to Monroe's concerns about the left causing violent attacks and letting him know Trump voters incite violence as well...and actually kill people. We should be concerned at both. He claimed the Portland attacker was a Bernie supporter but sources show he actually ended up voting for Trump. I just wanted to make sure that he was upset about all the domestic terrorists that have crappy access to mental healthcare but plenty of access to guns.

I'm sorry this is so hard for you. I'm sure you'll catch on soon big guy!
