You can check changes in abatement with a county search. The abatement if any will show in the "exemptions" column.

I'd add - most of the online services for property tax appeals have disappeared. You're left with doing it yourself, or engaging a lawyer. Doing it yourself online isn't that difficult - but you need to read the guidelines carefully and show up for the appeal hearing.

Sure you didn't come off an abatement? Did you talk to your board?

I get tons of letters from lawyers looking to appeal a property I bought that is overtaxed judging by the purchase price, but it was a short sale so I don't think it would be as favorable as they think.

Does anyone here know of a service to do tax appeal? Our condo taxes have doubled in the past 4 yrs. We have not made any major improvements.
