Hello,

I have a place in journal square in st johns condo complex that is rented out. I am considering selling the unit in order to buy something else in a different area.

In your opinion is now a good time to sell and if not how long do you think would be a good time to wait for all the redevelopment to kick in.

Let me know your thoughts.

Wait.

There are major cash flowing into the immediate area.

If you think the economy and NY market will continue to be strong for the next 5-10 years, I agree. If you are worried that there could be a major local downturn, your competition is now all these new projects that could glut the market.
Good luck....

I am no real estate expert, but it would seem to me like this is NOT the time to sell a property in the JSQ area. There are many buildings slated for construction in the next few years, and with those better amenities should come about. If you can wait a few years, your condo should be worth a lot more once all those other amenities are established. You will have an influx of white collar workers and other yuppies, which should lead to an increase in value all the way around.
