I think the "speed bump" on Jersey between 8th and 9th is called Hamilton Park. Maybe that's the problem.

It won't get any better when they actually put in the speed bumps. Have you seen the one on Jersey between 8th and 9th st? If you were a complete moron this is how you would make a speed bump. Number one, there are no permanent markings to indicate the it's there (yellow hashes, signs or otherwise). Number two, the thing is the largest bump I've ever seen! I have an SUV and I was worried about bottoming out on this thing! It. is. HUGE! You can tell by all the scars on it that many people have already bottomed out on it. Also, they put up a couple cones so they must have finally realized it's an issue. I'm all for speed bumps but there is a right way and a wrong way and this is so wrong. If the idea is to launch a vehicle doing 30 MPH 3 feet in the air then this is perfect! Idiots!

There are two of these on Van Vorst St., as well. They are deep and almost completely invisible. Only a matter of time before they damage a car with low clearance or, worse, break a bicyclist's neck. It has liability for the city written all over it.

I figured speed bumps. They're on bright street also, by the school. They do a real job on bikes.

Anyone know when they're going to cover up or do something with the set of groves that are carved in Barrow (between York/Montgomery and Montgomery/Mercer). They've been there for a while. The edges on them seem really sharp and capable causing damage to tires.
