From what the article says, sounds like two 20 something guys got in a fight and one guy made threats. Not much of a story if you ask me. No gun present, no knife, no felony assault. This stuff happens everyday, it's not really news worthy. Not that I think that the young man shouldn't be charged but the media and social boards whip it up into something it's not.

With this sort of conviction, any and most career options are out the door and one option still open to him is a life of crime - It would be interesting to know how he turns out in 20 years ... more victims, dead, prison or enlighten of his wrong ways, family man and a positive member of society ?

I would have thought being armed with a gun is threatening enough and its display is intent in itself !

A Jersey City man charged in a Downtown robbery allegedly threatened to have the victim shot if he didn?t hand over money and cigarettes, officials said.

Isaiah A. Charles, 18, of Bergen Avenue near Armstrong Avenue, made his first court appearance Wednesday at Central Judicial Processing in Jersey City on the charges of robbery and making terroristic threats.

On Tuesday, officers responded to Newark Avenue near Grove Street on a report of a suspicious person and spotted Charles riding a skateboard, a police report says.
