Brewster, Is the relay still clicking? Try powering it all the way off and unplug the UPS from wall outlet. Wait about 20 seconds and then power it on. If it beeps, meaning no AC supply, that's a good sign. Then plug in non-sensitive device, like a table lamp, and see if you got juice-

You're around the corner. Something was definitely wacky at that time, I discovered one with it's relay clicking repeatedly around then. Now I've got to figure out are they shot or repairable. They're small 500va units.

Had some voltage fluctuations (drops, not spikes) last week during high wind conditions. A neighbor's tree branch had worn through the insulation on the power feed line to the front of their house. When the wind blew the exposed wired onto the section where the bark was worn off the tree it grounded out with a LOUD sound, as in BANG, and sparks flew everywhere. As a computer network Tech with a LOT of sensitive electronic gear running, I kinda freaked. Some clocks reset on the dropouts but things like my servers were fine on (big) UPS devices. And it barely triggered the UPS every time. Took several calls to PSE&G but they came and they fixed...

I've a similar set up, but nope. A power glitch would normally reset some of my other electronics - but I noticed nothing.

Both my units fritzed out, bringing down my modem, routers, pc's and phone. I read online that power fluctuations can do this, anyone else have problems?
