Hi All - wondering if anyone knows how/where I can search for property rentals in downtown JC. Specifically rentals that are not community property buildings but by owner or something like that. I live in 70 Greene now and love the neighborhood behind me that makes up Paulus Hook, Essex Street, Morris, Sussex, etc. and would love to move into a brownstone apartment or something else. Any advice?

Some really nice apartments are are not listed publicly. For example the Lincoln and Roosevelt near Hamilton park.

Try padmapper.com -- it's like a much more elegant, infinitely sortable Craigslist-on-a-map.

I like Zillow and Trulia but I find them very slow to update.
