New! U14 Girls Travel Team in Secaucus
No residency is required to join!

We are currently seeking experienced U14 girls (birth years 2008 & 2009) to join the Secaucus travel team effective immediately.
You do not need to be a resident of Secaucus to participate.

There is a $100 fee to join the Spring 2022 season.

Here are some of the important details:

There are 2 mandatory practices during the week at Shetik Field of Secaucus (225 County Avenue). Practices will start the week of March 21st.

Games are played every Sunday (Home/Away) - Home games will take place at Shetik Field of Secaucus.

Secaucus Soccer Club is member of NCSA(Northern Counties Soccer Association) League. NCSA League’s spring season of 2022 begins on Sunday, March 27th.

Secaucus Travel Soccer registration, waiver forms, rules/guidelines will be shared via email once you agreed to move forward.

Hi folks,

I'm asking for your help today. The CERC building at 180 9th Street is being sold by the JCRA to the County of Hudson. While the contract has been signed, the closing has been put on hold indefinitely because of the pandemic.

No new leases are being signed for any recreational program that operates out of the community center gym - including me, Bob Hurley's basketball clinics, martial arts, Hoopsville basketball, etc.

Once the sale is complete, there is also no guarantee that we will be allowed to run our community programs again from the site.

We've put together a petition to ask the JCRA to provide interim leases to our programs so we can start in September and have the county provide some guarantee that the community center will be available for our activities - programs that serve up to 800 kids and adults each week.

Please sign the petition and forward the link on to your contacts. Now more than ever we need safe recreational programs like the ones offered at the CERC gym.

You Can Earn Your USSF Grassroots Coaching License

Take the first step this Monday in Jersey City

Now is your chance to begin your USSF coaching education journey by taking the first step in obtaining a Grassroots Coaching License. This information filled program will begin on November 25 from 5pm to 9pm at the Primary Prep School in Jersey City and is open to all soccer enthusiasts from the age of 16 and up.

This class is ideal for recreational coaches, physical education instructors, parent coaches, and older teens interested in a coaching position. Coach Alex Lalaoui from The Soccer Learning Center will be an instructor for the evening session.

Our popular soccer academy is helping host a free community soccer camp this July and August in Jersey City, New Jersey. We are seeking camp counselors (age 17+) to join our team for our three-week outdoor session (July 29 to August 15) in Lincoln Park.

Work hours are from 8:30am to 11:30am, Monday to Thursday. We are seeking experienced, energetic and alert counselors to assist our young athletes. This is an outdoor, on-field position - rain or shine. $10.00 per hour.

The Soccer Learning Center is extending an invitation to a very special educational event designed for current soccer coaches and those interested in getting in the game.

Thanks to a sponsorship from Target and support from KIDS in the GAME, it is the goal of the Urban Soccer Diploma program to bring coaching education resources to urban areas throughout the country. United Soccer Coaches (USC) recognizes that the sport of soccer needs to be more inclusive of diversity and embrace the ever changing landscape of the sport.

We encourage current coaches and those involved with urban youth from all around our communities to join this educational endeavor and support the USC's goal to enrich communities through powerful coaching opportunities for all.

The Soccer Learning Center has been selected to host the first USC Urban Soccer Diploma in New Jersey on Monday, June 24 from 5pm to 9pm at our 180 9th Street location in Jersey City.

My pickup truck had its driver side window smashed to bits while I was teaching classes near York Street in Downtown Jersey City this morning (by St. Peter's). The break in happened sometime between 9am and noon. JCPD was very nice in responding and taking a report.

A guy in the neighborhood walked by and said the same thing happened to him recently, too.

I believe I left a few bucks in my cup holder by mistake - it wasn't more than $5.00 - and that mistake will now cost me $200.00+. Lesson learned.

My daughter is working on a special community project in cooperation with the Sigma Kappa Delta English Honor Society at Hudson County Community College to help local elementary school students get the books they urgently need to become stronger and more engaged readers.

Beginning Thursday, April 27th through Sunday, May 7th, The Soccer Learning Center (at CERC, 180 9th Street in JC) will be the collection center for your generous donation of any new or gently used children's books (PreK to grade 6 titles only, please).

Please see the collection schedule below. Books will be distributed later in May to the terrific students at P.S. #22 in Jersey City.

Meet U.S. Police & Fire Games Champs
as they Battle at U.S. Soccer Heroes Finals

The U.S. Soccer Heroes finals are tonight...and the battle for the championship cup will be a hot one in Jersey City.

You're invited to join us for a FREE night of soccer as the Port Authority Police Department faces their rivals, the N.J. Guns and Hoses. PAPD will face tough competition as the N.J. Guns and Hoses team has just returned home from California with a major win at the United States Police and Fire Games soccer competition in addition to grabbing the U.S. Soccer Heroes Fundraising Tournament Cup on June 30th.

The PAPD is bringing a strong team to the pitch and this should be one of the best matches of the season to watch. The match kicks off tonight, Sunday, July 7 at 7:30 pm at the Ed Faa Turf Field, One Chapel Avenue in Jersey City.

This match is free to the public.

The Soccer Learning Center's Thursday Night Indoor Co-Ed Soccer League is seeking two female soccer players to float for both our competitive and recreational leagues.

Players should have soccer experience, be female, and be over 21 years of age. We will sponsor these floaters for this season so no playing fee is necessary.

We play every Thursday night, indoors, at 180 9th Street in downtown Jersey City - across from the Newport Mall. Free parking is available on site.

Matches are played between 8:50pm and 11:30pm on Thursday - 30 minute matches. These are professionally managed and refereed matches with a great group of Jersey City soccer enthusiasts.
