They have it all planned. . . . the dogs, that is.

I'm glad the signs were removed, too--avoids confusion, doesn't distract from the gardens (though they are looking a little ratty right now).

So, were the signs saved to replace the other "Dog Free Zone" signs that have been vandalized, uprooted, defaced, bent, etc.?

And I loves me some Pinky and the Brain.

Slight correction, some want to retake HP, to roll back the clock to when the entire park was a dog run and you didn't dare let a small child on the grass.

I've been living in HP for the past 9 years and a dog owner for the past 3 years. I hung out with the dog owners who used HP as their dog run prior to the renovation. I would say 95% either moved or take their dogs to other locations. Sorry but there is no plot to "re-take" HP. It is all in your heads.

Thank you Jan for removing the signs so dog owners who are leashing their dogs and walking them in the correct areas in HP feel that they don't have to argue with people on their leisurely walks.

HAHAHA As one of my favorite cartoon shows go...

"Geez mate, what do you want to do tonight?" - Pinky

"Same thing that we try to do every night, Pinky. Try to take over the world." - The Brain

In this case, all of the dog owners want to take over HP. OMG people, do actually have lives. No we just DON'T want to deal with uptight idiots who can't read signs.

No issue with me if you yell or call the cops if a dog owner has their dog off leash or in the "PET-FREE" areas.

Hello,

Your voices have been heard.

I made a call to Public Works late this afternoon, and explained that the two PET FREE ZONE signs located in the mulched flower beds near the large iron fountain have been causing quite a bit of confusion.

I was given permission to remove the two signs and as of 5:00 p.m. today we removed the signs.

Thanks,

Jan

There's really no confusion unless you are a complete dog owner imbecile. So now you can walk your dogs in "the mulched flower beds". "Brilliant".

I think that if you had read the many posts on this site that you would see that the opposite was the case.

Thank you. I consider myself an intelligent person and I was confused by them. I didn't think a sign really needed to be posted to stay out of flower beds, that just seemed like a given, so I therefore assumed it meant the whole area.

I'm sorry but I missed much of the discussion on the other thread. How were these signs causing confusion?

There's plenty of places you can take your dogs within the park, and not just in the dog runs.

I wonder what will become of thse flower beds now.

The new signs should say "Please Keep Out of the Garden".
