I wish they had made "Vespa Jersey City" t-shirts!

BTW, I think the Silvermans know all about location, location, location....

http://njmonthly.com/articles/lifesty ... brothers-in-the-hood.html

Back at Hamilton Square, Councilman Steven Fulop admiringly recalls times when the brothers operated certain struggling businesses ?at a loss in order to create a restaurant-friendly streetscape.? The Silvermans contend that the key to Jersey City?s ultimate transformation is not the hermetically sealed skyscrapers on the waterfront, as many assume, but neighborhoods. (The company?s tagline is ?building neighborhoods.?) ?They have a big role to play in the city?s future,? says Cotter. ?As they continue to expand their empire, they?re more ambitious than ever.?

Yeah I got an email...

Resized Image

Dear Friend of Vespa Jersey City,

We are sorry to say that Vespa Jersey City is closing.

We have enjoyed the ride over the last three years but, unfortunately, business conditions are not strong enough to continue operations.

We would like to extend the opportunity to buy our final bikes and merchandise over the next two weeks (see Sale information below) to our loyal customers. In addition to the specified Sale hours, we will be happy to meet you by appointment; you may still reach us at 201-VespaJC.

For Vespa service going forward, Vespa Brooklyn (www.vespabk.com) has demonstrated that they are responsive and reliable. We will remain on the lookout for other service providers that may be more conveniently located for you.

Until we ride again,

Paul & Eric Silverman
