I agree, Bogart. I have been bothered by the Welcome to NJ signs also. I found it ridiculous that I would drive west on 78 every morning to go to work and pass signs on the turnpike welcoming me to NJ, after I paid the toll of course.

I think the state needs to do a better job with this at all the border crossings. Good for the city for stepping up.

There's a big new sign immediately at the exit of the Holland Tunnel. Really big--it covers the entire roadway. I love it. I always found it offensive that the Welcome to New Jersey sign on the Turnpike Extension was placed to appear as drivers were on their way out of town.
