My pleasure of sharing the pictures with you all. I just hope the photo album gets its way, somehow, to the Bolivian Day parade organizers and participants, so that they also get to keep a good souvenir from their great participation in this annual event.

Chama, sincere thanks for sharing these photos! Unfortunately we could not attend this year, but my family and I enjoyed the fantastic shots that you posted. We are already looking forward to next year's parade!
This parade is truly a gem in JC, how I wish our city's cultural affairs dept would do a better job of promoting it.

Wow - that is a wonderful album - thank you for sharing. It's so nice to see young people carrying on the traditions of their family's home countries. I wish I knew the story behind some of the costumes!

Yes, this year the route was set from Brunswick, down columbus to grove. Hope you caught that post update in time to see the parade.

I bet you're right, it was Columbus. I just recall being surprised by it after coming up from the PATH which is why I said Newark. Good correction.

Route used to be - I THINK - south from Hamilton Park, east on Newark, south on Grove. Is this correct/still true? Don't remember if the ped plaza on newark changed that.

I can't find any info about it, but following the historical trend, it would be on August 5. I have reached out to Cultural Affairs to get confirmation and to get it on the events calendar. Last year, it took 3 emails and 3 phone calls before I got a response. I will let you know when I get additional info.

Disappointed that this isn't better advertised. I would have actually planned my weekend around this - as many people seem to agree it's the only worthwhile parade in JC. But, alas, I only found out about it after the fact.
