i agree that the city needs to do a much better job at urban planning, but let's keep in mind that it is only recently that jc is really "taking" off. even in the 90's, jc was shitsville usa and even the west side of manhattan and the brooklyn waterfront were not much further behind.

I think there are redevelopment plans for that entire area including some of the low-rise housing, if I'm not mistaken?

That is one of the more glaring examples of poor urban planning in DTJC.

I don't have a link handy, but I'm pretty certain that there is already a project proposed for that space/area. I'll have to look online to see if I can find the reference.
