She was replaced because she's not that great at her job? And she was never part of the Fulop team, she was a holdover from the Healy days and what passed muster then doesn't cut it now. Not sure why this is so surprising, it was inevitable. And I'm honestly surprised she lasted this long?

I thought young foks do that on purpose, you see teenagers with labels on hats and things.

+1

It's the same with the labels sewn on the arm cuffs of a coat. It's hilarious to see people walking around with them still on the coat.

That's what I thought, and that's why those types of stitches are generally in contrasting colors-so they are easily seen to be cut. They do serve a purpose to keep the lapel holes and vents tidy during shipping, etc.

Not ready for prime time. Those red lapel stitches should have been removed (or photoshopped out - along with the sunglass nose blemish). They are the mark of a new suit (or a newly purchased one that's about to be returned). If you're going to get a headshot that's likely to have such significant distribution, head to the pros. Reminds me of the dirty shoes in the JCMakeItYours campaign.

I deserve this.

Agreed. I'm sure there will be some rosy explanation, if any is provided at all. Normally, changes in spokespersons happen when a significant rift or difference comes about. Or, if/when the spokesperson goes off the reservation and off script. I may be misremembering, but wasn't there some sort of miscommunication, or conflicting stories/statements, when the Chico accident/incident/arrest happened?

well played.

i can't imagine how abatements would figure into this, so I suppose being "preplexed" is the right emotion.

I wonder if it's because of all the recent negative publicity regarding tax abatements. The city has had very weak responses defending the practice. Even degraded to insults at one point when it hurled one toward the state senator questioning city policy. It was... Trump-like. Keep in classy, JC.

I do believe providing tax abatements in areas outside of downtown is a net posititve, and I'm a tad preplexed why they're still being offered on the waterfront. Candidate Fulop said he would end the practice (I'm with you on this part Yvonne).

One of the justifications for the abatement offered to a downtown property recently was needed to create affordable housing. That seems kind of BS. The Mayor of New York has a proposal before their council requiring affordable housing to be part of any rezoning, maybe we should do the same thing here, just a side thought.

Back on topic, the city has did a very poor job selling the purposes of abatements and the benefits of new development and as a result people are questioning why we are doing it. I bet that's part of the reason she's out.

I guess it's easier to change the messenger than the message. Did Fulop's office ever comment on the McGreevey debacle/Greenville diss of last week?

...A shake-up in Mayor Steve Fulop's office is leading to the reassignment of longtime city spokeswoman Jennifer Morrill, according to multiple sources familiar with the move.
