We are looking to have our compressed air furnace replaced and a HVAC system installed in our condo.
We have the very well-reviewed Royal Heating & Cooling coming over Friday to give us some estimates, as well as Wickerham & Son of Hackensack. I would like to have a third quote just to get a better sense of where prices should be for this kind of work. Anyone have another suggestion for a reputable HVAC/heating/cooling firm? Looking to give our business to a small local independent firm, not one of the big box guys....

Hi Aled, How much did they charge for the refrigerant? My hvac is also not cooling and think that's what it needs. Thanks!

Central A/C stopped pumping cold air.
Called Royal based on comments on this board. They arrived 30 minutes early, diagnosed it as needing refrigerant, added some and it was done!

Royal? I went through a few companies till I called up Royal and they were the best. They fixed an intermittent HVAC problem that had eluded the other guys for weeks. Royal figured it out in 5 min and fixed it at a very reasonable cost.

Hi everyone,
Central air is on the fritz. Climbed on roof and blade not turning. Thermostat clicks on and air out of vents. Just not cold air! Anybody recommend an honest and fair HVAC guy? Thanks!
