Descriptions are is on the police report, regardless of whether they are accurate. The newspaper is making an editorial decision (which they have a right to do) that some information is either not relevant to the public or is damaging in some other way. I just wonder why bother giving any description at all if you publish only snippets of it.

Also, both perps who entered home are described as wearing black hooded sweatshirts and the shirt on the guy in the photo is gray, not black. Article not very helpful.

So these thugs entered the home, one of them grabbed a woman and covered her mouth, and the other one prevented the second woman from going out to the balcony. OK. Then they just fled? Did they attack the women? Did they steal anything? This is pretty vague journalism.

Authorities seek 3 in Downtown JC home invasion

The Jersey City Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying three suspects involved in a Downtown home invasion that authorities are calling a "targeted job."

Just after 1 p.m. on May 9, police responded to a York Street home near Grove Street on a report of a home invasion. Two women -- one of whom lives at the residence -- said her home had just been burglarized by two men, a police report stated.

The women told police they were inside when somebody suddenly opened the front door, followed by loud and rapid footsteps on the staircase inside the home. A man then grabbed the resident and put his hand around her mouth, while yelling at her to remain quiet, the report states
