I don't think it's backwards, but rather a stylistic choice. The "P" on the left is backwards to give the monogram a more balanced look. I think it looks better that way.

Even for Jersey City, it is amazing how long this place is taking to open. I think it's been about two years, and as somebody else mentioned, it looks like there is no progress each time I peek in.

Hope they finish up soon, I am looking forward to a new bar opening up, we need a few more options around here.

This place is on pace to be open for business sometime between the completion of the Embankment Highline Park and the renovation of the downtown Powerhouse.

Feel like they've been working this bar forever but the inside never changes. Anyone know when it's supposed to open?

I've forgotten that this place ever existed, or will ever exist.

construction seems back on. doors were open and workers inside today, but looks a long way from being done. basically everything framed out, and ply wood up.

I saw the Facebook posts that they are accepting resumes, but does it really look that close to being opened? The exterior still says Hudson Camera and the interior is a total construction site still.

The pics on FB of the vintage furniture look pretty cool. Seems like it will have a classic kind of feel to it.

Some new posts on the FB page show an old school pool table and are asking fans for menu suggestions, if anyone wants to make their voice heard now (before complaining about it on JCList or Yelp a few months from now).

It's next door.

It's right next door.

I really like the style of the furniture they have picked out and I am also REALLY curious about that tilted style bar. I too would love a place with Sunday morning soccer and maybe an English breakfast fry to go with it.

That's one wild looking main bar, looking at the side shot makes me feel like I'm already several in the hole.

A shuffleboard table would also be so cool.

If it's going to be a sports bar, what kind of sports bar is it? Will they be open early on a Saturday morning for soccer games or is this going to be one of those Sunday football type of places?

A dart board would certainly be fun.

Holy crap is this place FINALLY opening? I haven't glanced inside since the fall when you could see the work going on inside but it looked very far from being done. It's been a work in progress for almost two years it seems.

From what I've read it sounds like they're trying to do something different than just straight up flat screen TVs everywhere ala Powerhouse or Hopscotch. Almost like a sports bar transported to "Olde New York", or something like that. If so, I think it sounds great.

I'm encouraged by some of the photos on their Facebook but I won't believe this place is opening until I can actually walk in and get a drink.

Seems like sports bars are the flavor of the day here on JC List. The photos for this place look cool. I heard through the grapevine that it was going to have a more classic sporty feel with brick, old black-and-white photos, etc. Definitely excited to check it out as it's located nicely on the strip.
