How often for five years? On every full moon? Thanks.

Good catch! Thanks, it was originally once a month for 2 people, forever, but Kickstarter does not allow lifetime rewards. It is now 2 people, once a week, for 5 years.

This is awesome!! I am looking forward to trying your food. It will be so nice to get real Korean food without having to drive to Fort Lee or take the path to K-Town.

Im assuming that you guys have a shoe string marketing budget. Even though i have no doubt that you guys will make your kickstarter goal, it wouldn't hurt to maximize any additional funds raised beyond your goal.

After getting hooked on Kdramas, i wanted to try Korean food so bad. I looked around and found a blogger named Maangchi. I learned to maker her Tteokbokki recipe. Even my family who had no clue about Korean food luved it.

She basically luvs down home Korean cooking. And maybe she is willing to give you guys a shout out. She has a massive following and luvs to promote Korean Cuisine and culture.

Here is her contact info:

http://www.maangchi.com/contact

Ps. I hope am not being intrusive...i am sure you guys have your own plans and visions........and i have no doubt you will make it work.

Thank you for your support! Even going to great lengths just to make accounts, we feel even more strongly that there is a real demand for authentic, good Korean food.

As far as a 2x2 option is concerned, yes, we can work that out!

Awesome - my pledge is in. Ahris will be a great addition to the hood.

Is there a 2x2 option instead of the 1x4 at the higher amounts?

You can create a kickstarter profile and contribute that way. That's what I did.

So, i went to the Kickstarter page to contribute my 5000 dollars(hehehe okay not that much but a small contribution) to your campaign.

I selected my amount(really humble) and it then proceeded to ask for my Facebook Account. I don't have one. Is there another way to contribute? I am sorry that i don't do social media except Yahoo messenger(if that counts).

I really want you guys to succeed!

Thanks

I just read the Kickstarter profile and omg, are you having your mom flown in from korea? The menu's going to be legit!

Also read over the menu and didn't notice mandu on the menu. Gotta have mandu on the menu....especially frozen that I can steam up at home.

By the way, where do you go to eat when your in the mood for good Korean food(other than of course at home and family)? Any hidden gems or places nearby???

That would be awesome! We're using Kickstarter as a way to get the word out, as well! We only have word of mouth, other places are getting press in the village voice and JC magazine! Hopefully the food will speak for itself.

Nothing in the immediate area comes to mind. Cho Dang Gol, a few blocks north of Ktown in Manhattan, is hands down the best for anything tofu related. Although the BCD formula works for a reason, Cho Dang Gol's handmade tofu keeps it packed with people who actually know Korean food, and are lucky enough to have stumbled upon it.

Han Bat on 35th used to be my go to spot for sul long tang, a bone marrow broth with brisket. The quality fell off a while ago, but I still go on occasion. I can't recommend anything else there.

For really nuts Korean bbq, even more than Palisades park and Edison, the Murray Hill section in Queens is tip-top. Mapo BBQ. This past summer I went to the original Mapo in Seoul, and the one in Queens is topnotch. I know that's not what you want to hear, so for bbq I'll hit up So Moon Nan Jip in Pal park, or Kum Gang San for laaarge parties in Manhattan.

I get enough of it at home, but whenever I'm in one of these areas those are the restaurants I'll hit up.

I can't recall the exact names of any, but their are some really good ones in fort Lee and palisades park. the culture at those places are pretty much Korean and the restaurants for the most part authentic.

Just curious, what are you both quitting (regular day jobs) to start a business that 1. you need experience and 2. takes many many hours to maintain and manage.

That's great! We plan on selling homemade jars of kimchi for you to take home.

Our kickstarter is all approved, and we plan on debuting it on 9/1. I hope some of you will contribute; I think the rewards pay for themselves!

Initially we don't plan on it. Man, but since I read your post I really want some Jajangmyun right now...
In the beginning we will keep it manageable, in terms of the number of dishes; we want to make sure we excel in our menu. We will consider branching out after becoming more established.

Yes, I corrected it today. The prices were only placeholders.

Vegetarian options will be available, and for almost all dishes!
