Have you ever wondered where you should start hanging out?

I wonder why any article that mentions Jersey City can't be more honest and specific. Like they are for NYC, Baltimore, all the other cities. What they clearly meant to say was "Downtown/Grove Street/Hamilton Park" in Jersey City.

Unlike, say - if you are fat, drive a mini-van, and have too many kids - Jersey City Heights is the neighborhood for you!

Making Buzzfeed's Top anything list doesn't really count for much.

100%. Supper annoying moniker. Some other food monikers or abbreviations I find equally annoying: cukes (instead of cucumbers), rezzie (for reservation), evoo (extra virgin olive oil), zukes (instead of zucchini), resto (for restaurant) and mozz (mozzarella).

By Summer Dawn Hortillosa / The Jersey Journal

Jersey City's food scene is getting attention again, with the city making a list of 10 East Coast Neighborhoods That Fit Your Personality on BuzzFeed.com.

Alongside other great East Coast destinations like Hell's Kitchen in NYC, Cambridge, Mass., and Fishtown in Philly, Buzzfeed says Jersey City has a lot to offer, particularly if you're a foodie.

"Just a hop, skip, and a tunnel away from Manhattan, Jersey City has a lot to offer ? from spectacular views to super-fine waterfront dining," they say. "Plan on eating sammies for lunch at Andreas Salumeria and a big, Italian dinner at Porto Leggero. Skip dessert and head to Barcade for drinks and games, if you?re not too full."

Jersey City is home to several other dining destinations like Thirty Acres, which was a semifinalist in the James Beard Awards' best new restaurant category last year.

The city also hosts food events like 4th Street Arts' annual Chili Cook-Off, which was held Saturday, and groups like the Jersey City Brew Club. In fact, the home brewing scene has gotten so strong, the Thirsty Quaker, a new liquor store and shop in Downtown Jersey City, has opened to help supply brewers with ingredients and equipment.

What's your favorite food destination in Jersey City?
