we walked by a couple weeks ago as someone was sweeping the store. Some kids were riding their bikes and asked what the shop was going to be, looking for summer work.
the guy said it was going to be a bakery.

Anyone know what's going into the space next to The Keyhole Bar on Erie or the space on Erie between 3rd and 4th? Work has recently resumed on the latter and the For Rent sign is gone.
The permit on the storefront next to Bob's Shoe Repair says Dental Office.

Any word on what's going into the former party supply store on Newark across from Helen's Pizza?
It looks like one of the storefronts on 1st between Jersey and the faux thuggy barbershop has been rented too. Europa is going to be a pasta store. This information from a German friend who spoke with the Polish workmen who also speaks German.

You're right, the old Ginfi spot is going to be an Indian restaurant. I walked by today and the doors were open - the new owners were there cleaning and preparing everything. Said that if all goes well they'll be able to officially open this weekend. Very exciting! Really nice guys too; I look forward to having this spot open again.

The old Ginfi spot on Erie now has a Indian Woman poster on the window and some curtains that look south asian in there styling.
Hopefully they do a good job at it - I would like some good old indian food.

The renovated storefront on Erie between 3rd and 4th - that was slated as a bakery - now has a "Commercial Space for Rent" sign. I'm bummed. Harsimus Cove could use a good bakery.

This morning there was a sign that said "Ciudado" and they'd blocked off the ability to go up and squint at the permit. I know everyone is pretty curious and trying to figure it out.

Does anyone know what's going on at 433 Palisade in the Heights? They've been working on it for a while and finally put in the new windows, opened it up and stuck the permit on the door.
I tried asking one of the workers but unfortunately I don't speak Spanish-the most I got out of him was "City Offices" which surprised me.

Anybody know what's going on with the space formerly occupied by Vespa (10th next to Hamilton Inn between Erie and Jersey)? I see that it's been closed for a while now... and there once were rumors of Hamilton Inn expanding into the spot. Curious... seems like it'd be a cool space for a restaurant.
