we walked by a couple weeks ago as someone was sweeping the store. Some kids were riding their bikes and asked what the shop was going to be, looking for summer work.

the guy said it was going to be a bakery.

The old Ginfi spot on Erie now has a Indian Woman poster on the window and some curtains that look south asian in there styling.

Hopefully they do a good job at it - I would like some good old indian food.

those of us in the building have complained that the retail space is essentially being used now as a licensed kitchen for her to use without having any actual store hours.

we want a store that is actually open that we can patronize. Also something to note, it doesn't have real ovens it has those electronic cake/cupcake baking ovens.

heard a rumor she was selling the Business - who knows for sure though.

i also figured that the schools are back in session causing the parking to be tight. i noticed after 8pm some spots seem to open up.

I know i contribute to it, rotating 2 cars as i'm trying to sell one.

Per our last condo meeting in the HP-North its going to start next year. No time frame yet, but just next year. Will include retail and parking from what i remember too and also said its all rentals, though Silverman will be doing paperwork for condo too - depends on demand.

i for one am pumped for this and super excited something like this is coming to JC. It's outside my building, so i will definitely be there. I hope something like this stays and maybe becomes like Brooklyn Flea/Smorgasburg.

first of all i hope that this boy is ok and we dont see this anytime soon.

but this addresses, imo the #1 problem in JC, which is pedestrian/biker safety. (even though popular belief on this board might think its off-leash dogs and dog poopies)

The park should have speed humps on ALL 4 sides - i live off mcwilliams and i see car blazing through the yield sign in front of GP's. I trained my dog to wait at the curb with me (she is on leash! dont worry). And i also have two cars so i drive through and around HP all the time. i always come to a full stop at the yield and all stop signs. I can SEE the anger in my rear-view mirrors as i do this. But i hope they can see the high volume of pedestrians there - plus there are schools right there plus a bus stop to take the kids to private school too. incredible amount of foot traffic that needs to be addressed.

ALSO not to put all the blame on drivers, too many people cross streets without looking - NEVER ASSUME THE CARS CAN SEE YOU.

JCbiscuit - the dog you are talking about is a pure poodle, just with an awesome haircut. and he plays solely in the dog allowed area. plus he is probably the smartest dog i ever met and the owner cleans up after it.
lastly, goldendoodles make perfect city dogs, its why you see so many in JC, hoboken, & nyc. great temperament, public parks for them to play in, no shedding. AND ADORABLE.

granted they are off leash and illegal, i have no complaints with responsible dog owners. the same goes for that black dog walking around the perimeter.

i think most responsible dog owners like myself are also upset with the people that leave their dog poo on the sidewalk. but what can you do unless you catch someone in the act. heck owners leave poop in the dog park when the park PROVIDES bags!! you are always going to have assholes.

i love this mall - i grew up going to it, i saw my first movie at this mall. i have no problems of its existence. I live in HP and walk here with such ease - Macy's had an awesome sale this weekend and we made out like bandits.

my only suggestion is an upgrade in stores - add a jcrew, applestore, banana republic, abercrombie, Delias, madewell, etc HECK a stretch but a Bloomingdales too. Also, some renovations in the mall and some stores, the dept stores need a facelift in layout/carpet etc. i am surprised its not there but an Old Navy would do well here.

The food court is great too, indian food is some really good stuff, opened Qdoba recently. I am big can of its convenience.

and for those who park in the deck - just park in HP and walk, literally minutes away. decks in JC will always charge.

ahhh came for entertainment was not disappointed.
Thank you JustJames.

It just takes some planning to take care of your timing.

Do i go out to Hoboken during Lepre-tard-fest? NO
Do i know ahead of time of train delays, cancellations, construction, parades, etc so i can plan my commute with ease - YES

Surely you didn't miss all the signs and posters all over JC with these amazing things the city has to offer. Even facebook, twitter, and other sites are littered with these announcements. Time to stop running to places and look around buddy, no excuse for your poor planning.

Re: Hamilton Park dogs

always a good read! love when this comes back to the top of the board.

But anyway, its a public space that has amenities that seem to attract people from all over - if you live near here have to deal with the mix of people that come in and out of it. see some litter, do the service and pick it up! volunteer to do things in the park or if these "DAMN DOGS" are such a big deal organize a group and create awareness, have doggie bags in hand and pass them around, or give the dogs a treat and say something that bothers you about them being in pet free zones.

posting here the pics of "offenders" is pointless. though funny and would for entertainment not mind these posts continuing.

I dont hear much about the litter at the bball or playgrounds as much. i guess kids will be kids! damn those dogs and pooping though.

PS if you sit on the lawn anywhere something has peed and/or pooed there.

the traffic is caused by the schools in the area. and people not knowing how to go around hamilton park to get to the highway.

i am looking forward to the building coming up - i bought in H.Square North last year and this building will/should add nice things to the neighborhood. The noise will suck, my unit faces this space now - but we bought knowing that it would come up eventually.

I hope that the lower level is all retail, i do hope some parking is added considering the space now has the parking entrance to Hamilton Sq. North, but its limited down there.

Re: Cleaning Service

Hah i didn't bother to check this in a while and didn't notice people are being typical d-bags.

just some simple math for you. i am asking for 75 per visit every two weeks. lets assume she can fit 4 cleanings a day at $75(of course some may be more or less) and that 5 days a week that's 1500 a week or 3000 every two weeks or 6000 a month. Of course this is take home, she might have cost of course and even some prices that may be higher or lower or even work 6 days a week. Prob. this is more than you make a month. but its not a small income.

either way, my point is that is fallacious reasoning to assume that she isn't making enough money and that $10 is a big deal to her or even to assume that $10 isn't a big deal to me. (you don't know me or my situation, i could be paraplegic for all you know). And 75 is pretty competitive compared to the 85 she was asking, which is prob. inflated due to building and area of hamilton park i live in.

fyi i got her to go down $10.
