This is one of the reasons I drive a stick. Most car thieves seem to be under 20.

Last time I went to Ireland, I got a free upgrade from a Ford Focus to a Mercedes, cause few people there know how to drive an automatic. Go figure.

View Larger Map Stickup men leave victim's car because they can?t use a stick shift Published: Wednesday, September 07, 2011, 3:00 AM By Adam Holsten/The Jersey Journal A 26-year-old Jersey City man was robbed late Monday, but was spared losing his 2007 black Infiniti when the thievess couldn?t drive a stick shift vehicle, reports said. As the victim was removing items from the trunk of his car at Pavonia and Romaine avenues about 10:50 p.m., a man in his mid-20s walked up to him and pointed a silver revolver at his face, reports said. An accomplice, also in his mid-20s, took credit cards from the victim, as well as two cellphones and an Apple iTouch and his house and car keys, reports said. The robbers jumped in the Infiniti, but they couldn?t get the car in gear and fled on foot, reports said.
