Imo, Sawadee is the best of this type of restaurant in the area - love that place!! I think Box has an advantage in that its BYOB - definitely a consideration for me when I don't have a lot of money to spend. I think More also may be on par with Box, I guess I like More a little better, but need to try more of the same dishes at Box.

I've had their lunch special a few times.

The drunken noodles with chicken is very filling and just a fantastic meal. I recommend it highly. I also had a pork chop, which was pretty good, but didn't wow me quite as thoroughly.

Picked up some take out tonight. Got the veggie tempura appetizer and the shrimp pad thai. Awesome. The decor is great. They are a welcome addition to the downtown area.

Went for lunch last week and it was solid. I wouldn't count on the BYOB option being there for too long.

Agreed, Box is a great addition to the neighborhood. The Drunken Noodle dish is delicious! The atmosphere is cool!

Dined here on Saturday night... and three words - YUM YUM YUM.

I might be a bit biased, being that I love Asian cuisine more than the average bear, but I was delighted by this restaurant. It was BYOB, but looks to be attaining their liquor license if the snazzy bar was any indication.

We ordered a few appetizers -- Fried Calamari, Edemame, Crab Rangoon and Veg tempura. The Crab Rangoon alone is enough to make me want to go back... they were small, decadent, little bites of yum. Really crispy and creamy, perfect flavor and texture.

For entrees, I got the tofu bento box (tofu in teriyaki, fresh spring roll - aka not the fried kind - and delicious steamed veggies with some sort of seasoning on it), my partner had the veg tempura udon noodle soup (the broth was amazing) and our other dining companions had pork belly & duck (of which I did not try since I don't eat meat, but they both finished their plates and I can say it smelled delish!).

All said and done, the total bill for the four of us was in the $60 neighborhood... Not bad at all! (We did BYOB a bottle of red & white, so I think that helps with the cost of things)

If I had to critique something, it would probably be that it was a little too dark inside. We sat under the "trees" so it wasn't as bad, but the bank of tables across the way looked really dark. I would also say that I would have preferred firm tofu instead of silken... but that point is really kinda moot considering that I enjoy tofu regardless of its form!

I know most would complain that we do not need more Asian restaurants, but for me, they are gladly welcomed! I am excited to return and try something else.

Just walked by the old Ox restaurant and noticed a work crew hanging up a menu and new signage. "Asian BBQ"? Has anyone heard anything about it?

The sign looks pretty cool!

Walked past the old Ox restaurant location this morning and noticed that new signage was up. The place is called... drum roll... BOX. It will compliment the 24/7 perfectly. Lets keep the trend going and petition to have the new barcade opening up called WAMO.
