On the choral end, Schola Cantorum on Hudson usually has concerts every three months at St. Paul Lutheran by Five Corners. Their choral repertoire ranges from old chants to premiers of new works.
If you don't mind religious services, then the Latin Choir at Holy Rosary sings Gregorian chant, Renaissance and Classical choral Masses every Sunday at 10am. This Sunday the 15th they'll be singing Palestrina's Missa Brevis and will be joined by the renowned pianist Vincenzo Scalera, who will accompany his wife Paula, an opera singer in Milan. Many churches in the area also have organ recitals from time to time.

Johnny,
Lincoln Center is your answer. Jullliard and Fordham (at Lincoln Center) have a lot of stuff that is free or very cheap...and professional. Look into TDF vouchers. The advantage of living in Jersey City is that Manhattan is close by. REAL music in Jersey City...forget it.

New Jersey City University. There are many student recitals that can be listened to for free. Though they have a much better jazz program.

Hi everyone,
I'm wondering if there is a place to listen to some classical music in JC. Large ensembles, small quartets, and whatever else. I know the Loews theater in JSQ occasionally has an event, but I'm looking for something a bit more routine.
