"like hoping" couldn't you just write "I was hoping" ?? The word like has permeated the English language in the worst way. It is used by the uneducated, and the young from the 12-24 crowd. Replacing the word like with the phrase "It was as if" would sound better at times.

We've all heard it, but a lot of people don't pay any attention to it. The overuse of the word "like." Sure, this handy, age-old word has its place. Where would we be without such fine sentences as, "The shirt's color is like a lemon," or I'd like to go to a movie tonight"?
you are like so right ...

From his bio it sounds like he was born in JC, raised in a bunch of places, and lives... in Florida? Where he lives now wasn't clear, actually.

Resized Image
NASA PRESS RELEASE
Date Released: Monday, December 14, 2009
Source: Johnson Space Center

George Zamka, of Jersey City, N.J., will command space shuttle Endeavour's next mission to the International Space Station. The STS-130 flight is targeted to launch in early February from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Zamka is available for interviews about the mission until Friday, Jan. 15.

The 13-day flight will deliver the Tranquility pressurized module, which will provide room for much of the space station's life support systems. This will be Zamka's second spaceflight. He was the pilot on STS-120 in 2007.

Endeavour's flight will begin what is planned to be the final year of space shuttle operations, during which five shuttle missions are planned. The last currently is targeted to launch in September 2010.

To cover the STS-130 launch on-site, reporters must request credentials for Kennedy by Jan. 22. Media representatives should submit requests online at: https://media.ksc.nasa.gov/

Reporters interested in interviews with Zamka should contact Gayle Frere at 281-483-8645 by Jan. 7 to reserve an opportunity.
