They showed the scene live on eyewitness news. I can't believe it's on Ocean and Neptune! My gosh, really? You never hear about anything happening on those two lovely streets.

At about 11 a.m., a Jersey City police officer shot and wounded the driver of a car that struck the officer who tried to stop two suspects at Ocean and Neptune avenues in connection with a narcotics investigation, according to police. Police spokesman Lt. Edgar Martinez said the officers had flashed their badges when they ordered the driver to stop the car. The passenger tried to escape but was quickly apprehended. The injured officer and wounded suspect were transported to the Jersey City Medical Center, said Martinez. More information is to come.
