I hope some day to post positive stuff...such as whoever the administration is that they are doing a good, hopefully a great job in addressing crime, ridding us of much of the bad element and making the quality of life better. Heights..it should not matter where it happened...the Shootings, Violence, Drug and Gang problems must be unacceptable. Our elected officials must go balls to the wall and have a War on Crime....The bad element must be rounded up and taken off the streets...We need to hire 500 or more police, have them on every block attacking crime...
Perhaps martial law...whatever it takes....Crime needs to seriously addressed in Jersey City.

Cops: Two men shot in Jersey City last night; one man's life in jeopardy

Two men were shot at Martin Luther King Drive and Mytle Avenue last night at around 10:30 p.m., according to police.

One man, a 28-year-old resident of Bostwick Avenue, was shot twice -- once in the upper right chest and once in the right arm, police said. The bullet that entered his right arm moved into the victim's back, police said, adding that these injuries are life-threatening.

A second man, a 45-year-old resident of Van Nostrand Avenue, was grazed by a bullet in his upper right thigh. His injuries are not life-threatening, police said.

Neither man said they saw who shot them, police said.

Police said a crowd of more than 50 persons were on the scene by the time they arrived and directed police to the victim who suffered the severest injuries.

EMS were already on the scene treating the man who was shot in the leg, police said.
