We carry women's handbags, jewelry, paper goods, and a bit of home/kitchen goods (like water bottles, mugs, bento boxes, etc.).

Our prices range from $10 (for paper goods) to $200 (for handbags).

Those seems pretty high prices, $200 handbags and $10 paper stuff. You might want to pick a more upscale area that aligns with your target customers. Have you considered renting a cart in newport mall as a start? To be honest your price range doesnt seem to fit well with newark ave, which is mostly 99cents and cheap general store types.

There are several places on Jersey. Imagine Atrium is closing in April, and that's right next to the Made with Love Bakery. Then there's the old Jersey Games spot on Jersey between Columbus and Wayne, and something else vacant right next to it. Is the spot on Grove to the left of ReMax taken yet?

there is the place where Oasis used to be. Corner of Newark and First, next to the fried chicken place. It is small, but a nice location.

There is a little storefront on Grove between Wayne and Barrow, where Comfort Bistro used to be. It is next to a beauty store and a hair saloon - sounds like a good spot.

Again, depends on what type of business you want to start. I think that the Jersey Ave liquor store is pretty nice and haven't noticed any skechiness around it.

Newark avenue might get better foot traffic, but seems scruffier with all of the 99cent stores.

What kind of business is it? It would be easier to suggest a location with that knowledge, however grove street on the city hall side has a lot of foot traffic. You may want to check out the current "On the Inside" location on corner of grove and montgomery. The store is closing next month and may be available.

My husband and I are running an online retail store for a year now (our base of operation and also our home is located at Bergen Ave. by JSQ) and we've been discussing the possibility of opening a brick and mortar store in downtown JC. We've been scouting the area for quite sometime now and we've seen a couple of potential spots, one is in Newark Ave. and the other one is in Jersey Ave.

The one in Newark Ave. is good for us, size-wise and rent-wise, but it's right next to a liquor store. I like the location of the one in Jersey Ave. but the rent/mo goes a bit beyond our budget.

I'm not at all that familiar with downtown JC and I was wondering if anyone can suggest a good retail location and we'll check it out the next time we drive by.

Thank you!
