The chalk board at Lucky 7 still has "THE STEVE FULOP FUND RAISER" written across the top of it.

Folks I know who went and paid their $25 cash thought they were raising funds for the referendum initiatives. That's certainly an odd thing for the chalk board to say.

Maybe he was pulling a Hillary - hoping Fulop would help him retire his campaign debt

I went and had a great time. I met Fulop & Jimmy Carroll from the heights. Was good fun, grats on the successful fund-raising!

I wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone who came out last night to support Better JC and the referendums. We were overwhelmed by the great turnout. It was thrilling to see how many people are committed to changing the culture of city government and making our community an even better place.

The place was packed out into the street.Granted its a small place but the women at the door said she counted 168 people.

The bands were good and people stayed pretty late.Nice job.

What, When, Where but you left out "Who". It's not clear to me where the proceeds of this fundraiser go. Is "November Pay-to-Play and Double Dipping Initiatives" a legal entity with a bank account or does some other organization "hold" the money? Don't get me wrong, I'm all for these Initiatives, just askin is all.

Well, did anybody go to this? If so, how was it? Did you get a chance to talk to Mr. Fulop personally?

Subject: A Better Jersey City

The battle to put two initiatives on this November's general election ballot
is far from over and many of you have asked how you can help.

Beyond the volunteer work and the support that you have already given, I am
sending you this invitation to an upcoming happy hour that will give me a
chance to meet and thank you in person as well as give you the opportunity
to further help the referendum. Every dollar counts as both the public
awareness and legal campaign are important components to making sure we have
the best possible outcome. It is people like you that have made this happen
up till this point and we are now a short three months from our goal.

Hope to see you there and keep up the good fight to make Jersey City a
better place to live and work.

What: Fundraiser for November Pay-to-Play and Double Dipping Initiatives
When: Tuesday August 19th, 6pm-8pm
Where: Lucky 7 (322 2nd Street)
Cost: $25 per person (includes beer & food)

Sincerely

Steven M. Fulop
Councilman Ward "E" Jersey City
