I wonder if this house ever stands the chance of actually being finished. Hopefully it won't stay an empty, sketchy shell (and potential squatter home) for the next five years.

It would likely ask about the flooding.

If the House on 3rd and Erie could talk...
That is where the famous Serial Killer "The Iceman" lived...

http://www.crimelibrary.com/notorious ... rs/mass/kuklinski2/1.html

I stopped reading the book because it was really sickening... but he talks about living on 3rd Street across from St. Mary's and about his first murder which took place in the "projects" on 15th Street...

You can add 9th & Manila to the list.

You can start a list of buildings like that:

the one on Erie between 6&7 that hasn't had a stoop in years.

the first one on Erie between 1st &2nd that was supposed to have installed architecturally appropriate doors, but instead chose the bank vault look.

the one on 5th between J&E - under renovation for years

All of these are in historic districts, btw

Forgive me if this is in another thread. I only read this board every so often. So, yeah, there's a house pretty much on the corner of Erie and 3rd; it's been in the construction stages for what seems like a year and a half now. From what I can tell nothing has been going on with it for a hell of a long time. Anyone know what's up with it? Weird that it's just been sitting there.
